Yes it does. It also comes with the disc adapter for the 45's. Also plays 78 and 33.

Can you play music on the speakers and headphones at the same time? I’m looking to play drums along with the music.

Don’t think so. When you connect the headphones it would stop playing sound from the speakers. Only allowing you to listen to the music through the headphones.

does the phono arm return when record is played?

No. When the record finishes playing the record stops spinning.
