I have an old medium komado from Japan (late 70's). The cast iron plate is 1.5 inches too small in it's circumference so I have to make accommodations. Otherwise, it works fine.

Rinsed, dried, and oiled the plate, and then used it in my BGE. Performed as expected.I had covered it with foil because I was making BBQ brisket. After the grill cooled I peeled off the foil and the plate was shiny and clean. 'Killed 2 birds with one stone: kept it clean and seasoned it as well.
