LCD Touch Screen Digitizer Assembly + Front Frame for LG E960 Google Nexus 4

A few days ago I dropped my Nexus 4 on ceramic tile face-first. The digitizer was destroyed and unresponsive, and the screen was cracked pretty badly. Not wanting to retire my Nexus 4, I went online looked up tutorials and bought this. Shipping was fast and arrived 2 days after I placed my order.Now onto the actual product; it works. The frame was correctly built, and proportional to the original and not damaged in anyway on arrival. The screen and digitizer both work as intended (the digitizer detecting 5+ different touch locations, just like the original digitizer). Installation was easy, I strongly recommend that you follow the instructions detailed in this video as it shows you how to move all the components from the old frame to the new frame: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZDAIgwbXk4One thing to note, this thing comes with its own tool set. They work, EXCEPT for the included 'T5' screwdriver, which as-is, is way to small for the small screws on the base of the phone. I recommend buying your own T5 (I got mine from Home Depot)Overall, very happy with the screen/frame. It also came with a guitar pick.

I would recommend spending the few extra dollars to buy a replacement screen that is already mounted to a new frame. It makes the installation much easier. Replacement glass for smart phones seems to be weaker than the original gorilla glass. Any flaws in installation will give you problems down the road (broken glass). Buying the screen already attached to the frame avoids these flaws.Suggestion: buy a screen protector to put on when you install the screen. No better time and it will help keep the screen looking good. Also, this is a good time to replace the battery. The battery doesn't cost much and you won't want to disassemble the phone again just to replace the battery.Pros: - simple installation - looks fine - works well so far - the kit included all the tools needed to do the replacement.Cons: - colors are a little off as compared to the old screen. I've had this for about a month now and I can't tell the difference any more. - some light leakage around the edges of the screen. Unless you are watching a very dark video you won't notice this.

It does exactly what it needs to do - a quality product and I am very pleased with how it functions. I had a store install it as opposed to attempting it myself. The differences between the new screen/digitzer and the original are barely perceptible - its perhaps a bit less sturdy than the original gorilla glass, and the LED is noticeably jarringly bright with a clear circular outline around where it is located, as opposed to the original where it is smoothly integrated into the front surface. Those details are to be expected given the price, which is significantly cheaper than going through LG directly.Overall I am very pleased with the assembly and the seller - it was shipped and delivered within the estimated time frame, and to the Caribbean no less!

Product worked as advertised when installed (replacement for damaged screen). Installation was easy (assuming some DIY experience with electronics), because this is a full LCD replacement display and digitizer assembly and you don't have to deal with un-gluing and gluing of digitizer (I went for full assembly for this reason, though the digitizer of the original broken screen was functional).But within two months of purchase and install, 3/4 inch of vertical portion of the display grayed out permanently. No display appears on that vertical part of the screen, though the digitizer (touch) functions fine for the entire screen. No physical damage to the screen and phone is otherwise fully functional. Tried reinstall, thinking some lose contact could be causing it, but that did not help. This product was purchased from SunnyCalUSA, fulfilled by amazon, received in good packaging. Unfortunately, due to the nature of these aftermarket products, quality is probably hit or miss. So, some might work fine for longer periods of time, while others fail to realize the full value.

Works as advertised. Not too hard an install (excellent Youtube video available - do a search - follow instructions carefully) if you're handy with tools and small parts. Kit includes tools, which is a nice bonus, however, the Phillips head screwdriver was the wrong size. There was a grey rubber gasket at the inside-top of the screen that had to be removed from the old screen and inserted in the new (not included with the new screen). I didn't notice this until I had installed the back cover, so I had to completely disassemble the unit to replace the gasket. Otherwise everything went smoothly. Would definitely buy again (but hope I won't have to).

It is only 4.5 inch and not actual 4.7 inch screen. Also there where some scratches on the screen while received it

Works great - everything fits perfectly in the new frame and all the tools needed were provided. Arrived in good time.

Except for some difficulties initially due the missing grounding metal foil, it fits and works perfectly. For people ordered this part, please remember to keep your old metal grounding foil from the touch cable and reuse it since the new one doesn't have this and won't work without it.
