The Best Crochet Hooks, EVER!
Prym did a lot of research into ergonomics in connection with these crochet hooks.Look at the Furls hooks. They're the same shape for a reason. Look at the explanation of the shape of the hooks on Furls for why they're that shape.Prym Ergonomics are essentially the same shape, except that they're slightly flattened into an oval instead of round, so you can keep the hook in the position you want more easily, and they're less likely to roll away when you set them down.Another advantage is the coating on the handle, which has just enough grip so that you can hold them more loosely and still have control. The shape of the actual hook is wonderful, too. It has enough of a point to go through a stitch easily and accurately. It holds the loop you're pulling up and doesn't let it slip away, but still comes out easily when you want it to.And, again, if you compare it to a Furls hook, it's just a fraction of the price! If you're also a knitter, check out Prym's knitting needles. The cable on their circular needles is superlative! And the funny blob on the tip, surprisingly makes it easier to knit, especially for people who knit Continental.

Very Comfortable, SusanBates / inline
It's hard to tell from the packaging but the tip is inline - more like a Susan Bates than a Boyle. I like the deeper throat and the more pointed style (Bates fan, so knowing tip style is important). This tip glides and carries the yarn better than Susan Bates, but the real reason to pay extra is the shape of the handle, which makes all the difference in the world. It's very light, enough texture to not slip in your hand but not rub either. No hand cramping, no pain. I've tried every "ergonomic" hook on Amazon, short of the expensive Furls hooks, and this beats all others I've tried. I wish I had gotten it first. I had all but given up on crocheting, even after surgery, barely able to make it through one row in my patterns, when I saw these. I can crochet again for amazing lengths of time. I crochet with a knife grip but seems comfortable to grip pencil style (just don't work that way myself), so versatile. My daughter keeps snagging my Prym hooks for her projects, so may need to buy her some as I slowly expand my collection of Prym ergonomic hooks. I'm back to yarn again!!

Good product
This was my first Prym purchase. As a crochet designer I'm always on the lookout for hooks that help me crochet longer. This is one of them. It has a long throat so I do crochet differently with it. But if feels great in my hands. I prefer to use this 3mm hook when I am working with cotton or cotton blend yarns, it tends to be a little sticky with wooly wool.

Love These Hooks!
I have bought the entire set of these now and they are my favorite hooks. I crochet very fast and these do not allow me down at all. I will buy more just so I can have more than one of my favorite sizes.

Not good for tight crocheting
The media could not be loaded. I wanted to love this hook. I crave a longer handle than the clover hooks, and I love the way this handle feels in my hand, but the hook is too far away from the handle, and when I crochet tightly this hook bends a LOT (3mm). Feels like it's going to snap off in a second. The yarn does not slide well on the plastic (you can HEAR it in the video).I'm sending this one back. 😕

Wouldn't recommend
It's too long for my hand and feels akward to hold.
