Perfect fit replacement On our 14yr old Whirlpool Gold fridge. Working well - I find these things only last a year or two and then have to replace. Will see if this one lasts longer! Arrived Prime 2-Day.

This did the trick. You really need to look very carefully to see any difference whatsoever. I had a lot of trouble getting the old one out but that's just my learning curve. So when this showed up I had no issues whatsoever changing it out. The only thing at all is that the connector on the new cable did not have the little ears that hold it to the plastic so that it stays in place while you are putting the other side on. I just held both sides and no problem. But it does make it harder to put in because I had to hold the connector in while I was sliding it in place. This has no impact on how it works or anything like that. The only other thing I noticed was the arm that rotates to push out the ice is made of plastic and it looks like the original one is metal coated with Teflon. But I think it might be equal in performance. It would take a few years to know for sure. But for the price I don't think it matters. My old one had some issues with the actual ice tray that made me want to replace it even if it did work. My old one had a dead motor by the way so none of the plastic parts or anything like that had any bearing on it.

The media could not be loaded.  Fits perfectly and no more water leaks. Bought this one because my original was leaking water and shorted out the maker.

Fit perfect in our KitchenAid refrigerator. Easy install. Saved several hundred by doing it myself. Lots of YouTube videos on replacement.

This ice maker replaced a broken original unit. It isn't hard to install if you are technically inclined. It makes ice faster than the original one was making when it was new (probably different settings for when to eject the fresh ice). I would definitely buy again, just hoping I won't have to.

It was as described works with no issues

Installed pretty easy (took about 20 minutes) and works however there is a noticeable difference in the size of the actual cooling pipe and fins on this one compared to the original. It is a lot smaller than the original. Before the ice bucket would fill up completely overnight, now it only fills up barely half way. It takes a very very long time to produce 1 batch (8 cubes). Had I known I would have looked for a different one.

This is an inferior product. It was a perfect fit with the electrical connector matching its mate in my fridge freezer and the mounting holes lining up exactly as well. Once installed, it started making ice within 30 minutes. The ice cubes were a little large, so I tried adjusting them to be smaller (shortened the water valve fill time) but that didn't work. I had ice sheets at the bottom of the bin, indicating the ice maker was over filling a little. Then after 8 weeks and 6 days, the ice maker quit completely. Amazon support told me to contact the vendor since the failure occurred after the normal return window. When I did that, Supplying Demand told me I ordered the wrong product and I'd have to order another one from them. That friends, is baloney. I bought an OEM ice maker locally and installed it. Using the OEM part number, I searched Amazon for it's equivalent. The same Supplying Demand ice maker came up as third on the list of suitable ice makers. Their 60-day return for refund or 1-Year replacement warranty will not be honored. The problem I had is common among others who bought this product. Don't do it.

It worked for a 1 1/2 years. It'll work if you need a replacement but there are better on the market

This ice maker works, but quite often a cube of ice gets stuck in the ejector fingers of the ice maker and stops producing ice. We don't know about it till we run out of ice then take the jammed piece out then have to wait till it makes more ice. Very frustrating!! The original ice maker never jammed up! I am not impressed at all!!! I ended up taking it out and transferred the motor assembly onto the old ice maker and it works perfect. It's too bad that you can't just buy the replacement motor assembly. That's all I needed to fix mine.
