Q: what is the feeder line impeadence of the MFJ 1777 ?

As far as I know it is 400 Ohm. I use a balun (4- 1) connecting to the recommended length of the 400 Ohm cable connecting to a 52 Ohm coax, works fine. Bo KB4BA

Hello.. I have no balun...I use the MFJ 99B Auto tuner...450 ohm ladder line comes right in the shack connects to tuner..My call W1MBF QRZ enail if u need more help. Mark

It's bare twin lead. This is a nicely constructed double-zepp antenna but it does require an antenna tuner and, if the antenna tuner doesn't have one internally, a balun. I use the MFJ outdoor automatic tuner and a balun, and have a coax run from the tuner to the station. I have very much enjoyed it on 80-10 meters. This antenna will be difficult to tune on 160 meters. --AD8Y

Yes better to have an AutoTuner. This Antenna Needs Reinforcement! If going into Maple trees may want to add springs on ends of Dacron. Also try an use 3/16 Dacron line to suspend.
