Shipping was very fast. However, I opened the package reached for the cable and the wire end that is twisted around the cable stuck my thumb and went to the bone, can't you do better than that?

I've been buying my clock repair supplies elsewhere for decades, but thought I'd try this cable since the title specifically says "Herschede Grandfather Clock Cable". So I bought enough to restring both of my Herschede's.This cable may fit some, but it does not fit either of my antique Herschede Grandfather clocks. 4 other members of our local NAWCC chapter checked their Herschede's and we didn't find any that used this size cable. All those that we checked were tubular bell clocks, either 5 or 9 tube from different eras. Luckily, this wasn't for a Customer's clock.This cable is 0.063" diameter cable. My clocks require 0.055" diameter cable. I tried it anyway, since I had the movement out of the clock for maintenance. Didn't work! Using larger cable means that the cable will not wind on the barrel properly.Check your clock carefully before ordering. I'll put this cable on the shelf in case I ever need this size.
