IMHO better than the Kohler, easier to install, worked better
The ball cock replacement for the Kohler Rialto seems to be a common problem. Anyone who has had this brand of toilet knows that after a period of time it develops a chronic failure of the diaphragm to stop putting water into the tank. The chronic hissing noise and loss of water is only cured by replacing the entire assembly.I have tried replacing the floater, the flapper valve, and individual parts. There is no solution other than biting the bullet and replacing the entire assembly.I read the reviews and went ahead and bought the original coal or replacement. Expensive but I figured get the original equipment manufacturers product. After going through a rather difficult installation where the tubes were difficult to use, cumbersome to insert, and the water inflow tube needed trimming to make it fit, the toilet still had a mild but persistent hissing and leak from the diaphragm that did not cut off when the floating ball reached the top of the fill line.I decided to give this one a go despite some negative reviews.Yes, they have replaced some of the brass with plastic. And, the tubes are not quite as thick and as rigid as on the original Kohler.Having said that, the installation was a breeze, and after turning the water back on the system worked perfectly. I adjusted the fill line. Screwed on float ball, and the toilet fills and flushes perfectly.May be I was lucky on this one and unlucky on the Kohler. However, from my personal experience, this one was less money, easier to install, work better

Saved me a lot of grief
My original 30 years old low profile toilet lost me a fortune in water. I called monad he charged m but he didn't realize that was an overflow problem, after flushing the old system was leaking water continuously via the overflow . This kit was hard to find, but after 2 hours of research I got it, it seemed like the original part and 48 hours later my toilet was like brand new, working perfectly and the good part? Everything was done in 3-4 minutes. Just fantastic !

Better than JS - cheaper and noiser than Kohler 1B1X
My home has (3) Rialto toilets.Over time, two of them had Fill Valves replaced with the $70-90 Kohler-84499-1B1X-Conversion-Kit.Those worked well. For the 3rd toilet, after seeing so many other Fill Valve replacements for other non-Rialto toilets,Ended up replacing with the LASCO 04-9163 Retro Fit Ballcock Replacement. The Lasco is working - still a little hiss - but not quiet like the Kohler 1B1X.

Easy Install
I've got 3 older toilets from Kohler and these work just fine. Easy replacement with just removing a bottom nut, pull out the old assembly, replace it, tighten the nut and add the water line. Easy Peace. Worth $35.00 all day long. I used the old diverter to the bowl also. Fit fine.

Doesn't Work
I thought this would be a fix for inadequate flushing of my Kohler Rialto K3402. It looks good and I like the flexible tube connecting the fill valve assembly to the bowl fill port. Unfortunately, I was unable to adjust the bowl fill level. The adjustment didn't work. It just turns but has no affect on the fill level. Then I discovered that the float shut-off doesn't work either. It sounds like it shut off, but over a period of a few hours, water continues to very slowly and silently leak into the tank. At the same time water runs into the bowl. So immediately after flushing, the tank fills to the correct level and the bowl is only half full. But after a few hours, the tank is overfilled and the bowl is full. I suspect that water is leaking from the tank past the connection of the bowl fill tube to the bowl fill port. I may be able to get that leak to seal, but I don't think I can stop the float valve leak. I have given up on it and ordered the expensive replacement from Kohler. I am intrigued by the "Coast" version on this valve assembly which does not use a separate float for the bowl fill, but, unfortunately, it is made by the same company, so I don't trust that is will work.

What you need for older Kohler one-piece toilets.
These older Kohler one-piece toilets require a special valve assembly. Initially I thought I was going to have to purchase the whole kit with the drain and flapper. Then I found this, which is just the valve for $62 cheaper. Looks exactly like the original. Includes only what you see. No flapper or ball float. Installation was simple and quick. Very happy I found this here.

So-so Kohler Rialto repair
It does fill the tank and flush the rim for the most part. This has all the necessary bits to fit the weird rim flush in a Rialto. But the valve takes forever to completely shut off. Oh, and you need to use the old float ball. It doesn't distinctly close off like an OEM valve no matter how I adjust the float. At the end of fill it slows to a smaller and smaller trickle until eventually the valve closes completely. And I still haven't gotten the rimflush to a satisfactory flow rate.
