FANMISGMT Master Sapphire Glass Blue and Black Ceramic Bezel Men's Silver Automatic Watch

Gotta love Batman
Received the watch faster than expected. Ordered it sometime Sunday night and it arrived Wednesday evening.Decent boxing and watch was protection wrapped to within an inch of its life, so not a scratch on it from shipping and handling. The clasp to the bracelet seems loose and VERY easily disengaged but that’s not a problem for me as I expected to remove it immediately and place the watch on a sturdy zulu, 5 ring strap anyway.Full instruction booklet was included but the GMT hand function was not explained very well. It took little effort to figure out however. When watch stem is set in the second position, as to adjust the date, turning the stem in the opposite direction adjusts the GMT hand. This should be set however, when the watch time itself is set “to the hour” to allow for proper hand alignment. The ability to adjust the GMT hand independently is a nice feature that is unavailable on some GMT watches at this price point. The watch itself is really, really nice. The bezel turns quite easily but has a smooth action and the edges are very grippy. The crown tightens down smoothly but adjusting the time, date, and GMT hand can feel somewhat “gritty”. Nowhere near as smooth as an Orient/Seiko/Citizen, but not much different from, say, an automatic movement found in a Kenneth Cole or similar. It did not start beating very easily with a few shakes, as most of my other automatics do, but once hand wound a little bit, ran just fine. It has yet to run out of reserve over the past four days of daily wear, a good sign. Seems to be keeping excellent time in comparison with the clock on my phone. The case is well finished, brushed and polished in the right places. The back is plain with no markings, very Rolex-like in appearance, with the same kind of wrench tool needed for opening and closure. There are some sharp edges around the back of the lugs and the case edge in between when the bracelet is removed, but nothing that touches skin. The ceramic “Batman” bezel insert is just beautiful. Polished to a mirror-like finish, it’s blue half is a bright cobalt in some light situations and almost darkens to black in others. The blue on the GMT hand is the same. The “stealthed” face is very well done with applied indices, whose edges, along with the hands, are finely polished with no visible signs of imperfection. I love the absence of lettering or logo. The only let down is the lume. Although smooth surfaced and very well applied, it has little power, and will dimly glow for a few minutes only after exposure to direct sunlight. It’s a shame too, because it’s the only other weak point to the watch after the clasp. The watch is a faithful homage to the watch it’s inspired by. Ceramic bezel, sapphire crystal, attention paid to the details of the face and hands, looks like it could easily cost the thousands they charge for other. The movement is definitely not on the same level as the rest of the watch, but for the price, and with a two year Amazon warranty included at no charge, it seemed a great bargain to me. I’m really happy with my purchase and readily give it four and a half stars, even though they only allow whole , so I'm going to give it five. I deduct one star for the problem with the bracelet clasp, the gritty movement, and weak lume. I'll give it a half star back for the fast delivery and warranty. I love the watch and it's pushed my current favorite, a first generation Orient Black Ray, back into the box and drawer for a while. It's a great addition to my current collection and highly recommend it to anyone looking to do the same or to buy a new "one and only". The seller has a bunch of other great looking watches too it seems, and they have really affordable pricing, so this won't likely be my last purchase.

This is what you are looking for
We all know what this looks like. And it hits the ball out of the park. I can't speak to the longevity. But I've had it about a week now and it hasn't lost a beat. Does the minute hand jump a little when you are setting the GMT or hacking it? Yup. Deal breaker? No. Does the crystal reflect light? Yes. It is not ar-coated! But it looks great. Are the bracelet screws loose? On mine - no. Took less than 5 minutes with a jeweler's screwdriver and the bracelet was resized and all the screws checked. If I'd taken another 5 minutes, I could have lock-tighted them, but they seem fine. And the bracelet seems perfectly comfortable. It's not an Omega 1503/825 Bond, but it is fine. Besides, this is going to look killer on a rubber dive strap or a black/blue NATO. I just hope it lasts for a while. I rotate watches frequently, so I think it will. Can't give it five stars ONLY because of that - I don't know how long it will last. But for <$100 - wow! I ordered the black GMT II and the white Daytona chronograph (which is quartz!) Can't wait.

GOOD thing it was easy to Return!
After fiddling with the lousy band,(wouldn’t latch-excessive links(not a fault), installed a new nato band- looked great! And then I found the hands were loose- merely turning it over would result in indications different every time. Could not set it because of this, so back it went.Shame, as it is nicely finished, just not useable. Don’t know if it was just a bad example, or part of a bad run, but never should this one got to market.

Two Submariner wearers I met said they liked the looks of this watch better than theirs!
Beautifully machined and polished, including the bracelet. All the link screw pins were loose upon receipt, with one nearly falling out. So be sure to tighten all of them to avoid dropping it on the floor. I will add thread locker after wearing it for a few days. The case size is 40mm, crystal appears to be sapphire, and the bezel is anti-clockwise directional and moves very nicely, 120 clicks per rotation. The bracelet has the center links polished and outer links brushed, and fits my 7 1/4 wrist with one link removed. The clasp end lifts slightly and then allows the catch to release. Seems very secure. There appears to be a micro adjustment inside the hinged end of the clasp. The adjustment is not a glide type but spring pin in blind holes. The movement seems accurate but I only had it it 1 day so far. The screw down crown has an o-ring. The cyclops is well centered and effective magnification. The GMT hand works fine but does jump a bit when the crown is pushed in. Seems consistent so you can compensate for that when setting it. This is my first GMT watch and I had to watch some videos on how to set and use the GMT function. Took me a while to grasp the concept that the GMT hand only moves half as much as the hour hand. As for the ceramic bezel, looking straight on at the dial, the colors seem understated. But from 6 feet away and with any movement this watch has an amazing faceted glitter effect on the bezel, even more than from the crystal. I am very happy with this watch.1 month update: I put thread locker on the link screws and they have stayed tight. I wear this watch comfortably every day. I have not had to wind it. When I got the watch it would gain about 30 sec per day. I found that if the watch is left overnight on its back it will gain but if left on its side it will run a little slower. So I alternate these resting positions and it has not been necessary to adjust the time. It is accurate to within a minute over the past month. Again, very pleased with this watch.7months update: Love this watch!!!!!Nearly 2 years update: This watch is holding up great. I keep it on a winder when not wearing it and never have to adjust the time. The bracelet is getting some scuffs, especially the clasp, but not more than the Omega Seamaster I had. Still super happy with this watch.
