Amazon Basics Advanced Blender MJ-BL1051W, 1.5L, 1000W [UK Plug], Black/Silver

This is heavy, and powerful, a lot of blender for £20 I was more than impressed, as normally at this price you get a 400w motor and a plastic jug and is tiny. This is big with a heavy glass jug and a 1000w motor. I've used it once for strawberry ice cream and it was perfect. I've given it a 3 star in durability only because I've only used it once. Other than that I wouldn't buy an expensive one.

I'm really pleased with this blender as it doesn't have lots of attachments that never get used like my previous one. I've used it twice now and it's nice and quick, I make all my own soups and fruit mousse for desserts so this is perfect for me. I recommend if you just want a good jug blender, the jug itself is made of glass and is quite heavy so may not be suitable for everyone.

ARRIVED AS BROKEN POWER PART, USELESS, POWER DOESNT EVEN TURN ON, MOTOR BROKEN. LOOKS VERY NICE BUT HEAVY AND WASTE OF MONEY.

This is a solid, well built blender. Has a pulse feature which is very useful. Glass blender bowl feels quality.All in all, this feels like a very expensive piece of kitchen equipment but at a fraction of the price.

Although I had my doubts about buying this blender because of some comments on the vase cap, I honestly didn't find that problematic at all. I was actually very pleased to learn that there is no way the blender will turn on unless the very basic safeties are in place. Value is excellent. In general. the Amazon Basics line is a good value for money

This item is somewhat heavy so it needs to be placed in situ for use. Also not easy for cleaning.. I did not expect it to be so large however, the other reviews say it chops herbs etc I use mine for smoothies in the morning it replaces a plastic lightweight that did its job just as well. I did not find that it chopped up fruit in the smoothie there were lumps. Value for money.. Yes because of the glass & weight otherwise not easy to manuver first thing in the morning also you have to make sure the secure lid is in the right position... Tricky.

Sent to my son in Netherlands, He has only just received it so can only go by initial impressions which are very good so far but as reported by earlier customer care must be taken to fit the lid correctly or it wont work! My son thought it had broken on second use but seems he just had not fitted lid into the right position, obviously a sensible safety feature to prevent the contents spraying all over the place.Very pleased with his blender, it is sturdy and does the job well.

This is heavy so lives on the worktop.Sturdy glass mixing chamber which is easy to lift offHad to spend a little while working out how to disassemble / assemble.But it's a good basic machine at a good price and my wife uses it almost daily with no issues.
