Canopy is great, stakes are junk
Took this canopy camping in Florida. It did a great job of minimizing the number of bugs around us when we were sitting in the campsite. It also provided shade and some protection from rain. The canopy was larger than I'd been picturing, big enough that I could fit my tent and a small table under it. I'll be sure to bring it along whenever I go car camping. The only issue was the wind: it was windy every day of the trip, and the canopy was knocked over twice (but wasn't damaged). That was mostly due to the cheap stakes that came with it. When staking the canopy down, the stakes bent in our bare hands, and just crumpled under a mallet. The only stakes that held the whole time were the two extra heavy duty stakes I had with my tent. I'll be buying more of those for my next trip.

A basic screen tent
Nice tent. I don't think it was worth the $50 I paid, but that's just my opinion. if you don't know what you are doing during set up it will be a long and frustrated process even after reading directions. You can put this on your deck/patio however, the poles need to go into the black tabs which also happen to hold a key ring looking thing and a small spike for the ground I assume. If you don't know this, then you'll be wondering how the thing stays up on its own. It does move in any type of breeze, but I have my chairs positioned around the perimeter of the tent in a semi circle which helps, some might find this an issue though. To me, it doesn't really keep bugs out but I didn't necessarily purchase mine for that reason and do light citronella candles when we have guests. Overall, for my needs nice tent and creates a nice atmosphere for socializing with a few friends on a summer Eve on a deck or patio.

it can be a real tough decision whether or not to bring an extra "luxury item" like this along with you when you already have a
Used this on a backcountry canoe camping trip. When you are trying to save weight for canoe travel and portages, it can be a real tough decision whether or not to bring an extra "luxury item" like this along with you when you already have a tent to pack along. This screen tent was worth it's weight in gold. It is lightweight, fairly compact and easy to set up. Black flies and mosquitoes were out in full force for our canoe trip and we cooked every meal under this tent and then sat under it and enjoyed nature without having to combat bugs. There is no floor in it so you do have to stake the sides down but, we got lazy and eventually stopped staking the canopy at all so we could throw it up quick to make a meal and then pack it back up in a hurry to move to the next lake. Not staking it down seemed to have no significant affect on mosquitoes and flies getting in-- at least short term. Obviously if there is wind, you want to use the stakes.

It's got a California warning that chemicals in the fabric cause reproductive problems
I like the screen room. It was easy for me (one person, 58 y/o woman) to set-up. I won't be in it super often, and I am past menopause, so I will take my chances with the potentially cancerous / reproductive problem causing chemicals in this screen room. I was taken aback by the big sewn-in sign on the outside of the storage bag ... I had not noticed that in any of the online sales information, questions, or other reviews -- which I did read thru since the rating was not the highest, but the price was super. Anywho...it went up easy, looks good, and is currently "off-gassing" before I use it.

Good product for the price.
This tent was easy to set up and I like that it has netting; it's why I chose it. However, the netting does not go quite to the ground and mosquitoes would easily be able to slip under there. I haven't had an issue and that may be cause it's a small gap and down so low, but it does concern me a little. The space under the tent is large enough for a small table and a coupe of chairs. You could fit 4 adult chairs under there if you didn't have a table. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, especially for the price.

One season use daily
We used all summer long to cover a sandbox in New England. It lasted only one season unfortunately. We just put up this month and the zipper ripped away from the netting and it felt so brittle. Any gust of wind would collapse it as well (we had all 8 stakes in the ground too, but they would turn and the ropes would slip out). Bummed since we bought a used tent and it last 2 seasons and a brand new one lasted only one.

This is a great little screen room
This is a great little screen room. It has a bright color, study poles and a sheer screen. The only thing that would have make it better is a skirt along the bottom edging. As it is the bottom of the tent stands about 3 inches from the ground! Yes, I do have it pulled all the way down on the poles, so it's a bit of a strange design if you are trying to keep bugs out.

ok for the $$ but setup is frustrating and slow!!!
decent materials for a $50 screen tent. but don t expect more than 2 seasons of daily use.the screen is a frustrating to assemble and not user friendly in its design: most tent maker will use bright colored fabric to call your attention to the various loops and sleeves through which the poles must slide. not this one! Also the pole joints are so thick that the joints catch on every loop causing you to hand fit every loop and every joint. figure 15 of those interactions per pole - and there are 2 poles!!if you install it and never take it down, the frustration will be once and done. but if you have to constantly take down and re-install, you'd be better off purchasing a more eclair but easier to manage screen room. The CLAM products seem to have a good reputation.
