Perfect gift for my sister. Ruby is her birthstone. Won't know about the tarnish of the piece since it's a gift and not mine.

Those were my wife's words when she opened the attractive gift box and saw this necklace. Her birthday is in May, and her birthstone is emerald. Although this isn't an actual emerald, it is the right color and sparkles like a polished gemstone. BTW, the 2" extension is just 1 3/4", but I don't mind the missing 1/4". The chain is a little short for my wife, so I ordered extensions. However, she is delighted with her gift.

I thought the gold was a little bit on the fake side, but I compromised to go with a bigger charm and Ruby because if I bought a real gold I would have only been able to afford a smaller charm and stone. So it worked good enough.

It's pretty, but the clasp breaks very easily. I actually had two (an original and then a replacement) break on me. The chain is very cheap and poorly made. I returned both the original necklace and its replacement.

I like that this product looks expensive without a hefty price tag. My fiancé ordered it for my birthday and almost matches my engagement ring in style. I wear it layered with another gold chain, goes with most looks.

I bought this and another piece as Christmas presents for my mom, the other one caught my eye, so I keep that one and gave her this one. She loved it! I looks so expensive and the way light plays over it, makes it look more expensive than it is. She loves Swarovski crystals, so this was a win-win in her and my book.

Love the size and color of this necklace. I have already worn it many times. It is the perfect size I was looking for.
