I lost my GoPro with this housing while diving in the British Virgin Islands. Four months later, a woman from Minnesota called me to tell me that she found it while diving at 60 ft deep. The underwater housing never leaked and the camera itself is safe and working. I highly recommend this product and plan to buy another one.

I bought this for my GoPro Hero5 over the Dive Suit mainly because this model does not require the removal of the front camera cover. Pop the latch, insert the camera, close the latch. Done. It mounts exactly like the Dive Suit and the mounting tabs work with all GoPro mounts. I just returned from a 4 day diving trip to Key Largo. The housing gets 5 stars. The inside of the housing stayed bone dry. No leaks from either the rear hatch or any buttons. It mounted to my Makit 360 Degree Rotating Sports Camera Wrist Strap with zero issues. There are filters available for this housing that fit over the lens port. You have to make SURE you are buying filters for this specific model as the lens port is larger than the Dive Suit to accommodate the entire camera. Having the clear back plate made selecting Camera Modes a no guesswork affair and framing shots easy as the LCD is visible. You cannot use the touch feature on the LCD as the back hatch is hard plastic. The buttons were easy to operate.Max depth for the dives was 26 feet so I was not pushing the design limits of the case.-- Update -- I have had this case for well over a year now. Several dives to 60 feet and the inside of the case is still bone dry. The only part that does not look brand new is the thumbscrew. Since I have used this several times in salt water, there is some corrosion on the threads. Not enough to cause it not to work. If you are more diligent than I was of freshwater rinsing it, I doubt it would be an issue. However replacements are dirt cheap. Interestingly enough, the camera still picks up quite a bit of underwater sound. My last trip to the Keys you could hear the background crunching of trigger fish eating the reef.

After reading horrible reviews of the battery life on the hero 7 in the snow, I got this to have the camera function normally and also to prevent the lens from getting scratches from ice, snow, rocks etc when skiing. I was less concerned about the camera being wet. The first case I got, when I tried to remove the protective sticker on the back, it left a sticky residue that would not come off no matter what I used (soap, water, nail polish remover). I thought to myself why am I doing this so I wrote to them and they promptly sent me a new one that had clean sticker removal. I wasn't about to shell out $50 for the gopro one. This one seems comparable. I put a paper towel in the case and submerged it under water for an hour. When I opened it up, the paper towel was still dry. It seems like it will suit my purpose.

I needed something for airsoft without spending $50 for a new case every time the glass cracks, I also wanted something where I didn't need to take off the original gopro lens cover everytime I want to put my gopro in the housingFor $15 a protective housing that protects your $400 gopro is probably a smart investment.To be sure of the housing and if it'll hold up and save my $400 camera from taking a direct hit I set up the case and aimed an electric airsoft rifle that clocks in at 400 FPS had it set up point blank.Unfortunately it did in fact crack the protective glass but luckily it did not penetrate the glass (so that means that the gopro lens wont get smashed)I shot it again to try the durability of the glass and it still didn't penetrate the glass.Dont get discouraged this test was performed at point-blank range and that is not normal shooting conditions for an airsoft skirmish (if somebody is shooting at your face point blank range you might want to find a new airsoft field).I gave this housing 4 stars because It looks like the glass could be replaced but I dont see options for replacement.If you're the seller please contact me, I'm willing to buy a replacement glass - because I just bought another case for now

Used in Mexico in and out of the water. I was very happy with the case. It protected my go pro and made me feel much more comfortable with it underwater. I never took it deeper than about 6 or 7 ft so I can't speak to that. It did not seem to cloud the picture. I'm sure there are better ones but I'm guessing you'll really pay for it. I'd definitely buy again. When I first got it and tried to open the case the latch snapped off. I thought it may be broke but gently snapped in back into place and it works flawlessly.

This case came in fairly quick! It was in perfect condition and fits my GoPro Hero 5 like a glove! It has a protective film on it so there is no scratches.

I am very disappointed with this housing that I got. I bought one in the past for my hero 5 black and worked great with no water leak at all but sold it together with it. Now I bought another one for my hero 7 black and was very disappointed. As you see in the picture, there is water leak inside the housing that leaked through its button on the side. I'm really disappointed and I suggest you find another brand coz I'm not getting another one from this company. It keeps my gopro from being physically emerged in water but their housing is NOT WATERPROOF

Whilst the GoPro Hero 9 Black is waterproof without a case it is super nice to protect it especially when you use it on the outside of a car as I do. It is also beneficial to use this case if you plan on using a GoPro below its rated water depth. It has done a great job of protecting it so far and I have done a short submersion test in a fast flowing stream where it had no problems keeping the water out. Apart from one problem (see below) you cannot tell it is in a case at all based on the footage produced.There are two things to note:- As should be expected from a waterproof case the quality of the audio is decreased. It doesn't sound horrendous but if you are after usable audio you won't find it in any waterproof case really.- When used on a damp day I had a problem with condensation building up inside the case presumably due to the GoPro heating up as it is used but it didn't appear to impede the footage, at least no more than the rain on the case.It should also go without saying that the touchscreen will be unusable in any waterproof case.

I've purchased this case to test out in the warmer months I know this is already waterproof, but gonna do a lot of testing out and I rather not damage my new GoPro .

Tuve la original de gopro mucho más cara y me daba problemas, La cámara se bloqueaba en numerosas ocasiones.Esta permite introducir la cámara entera, no hay que quitar el protector de la óptica, con lo cual va doblemente protegida, en cambio en la original al tener que quitar el cristal de la óptica la cámara perdía la facultad de ser sumergida.La he probado a 40 metros y va perfecta.

It does exactly what it's supposed to do!!!! The main reason I got it is to actually protect my GoPro when I do extreme sports. So if you want to protect your GoPro buy one not just for going underwater but as protection as it's cheaper to replace than a GoPro!!!! Great product!!!!

Item is nice but the only issue touch screen doesnt work when this used. Overall item is nice.
