Kept my daughter protected on hard floor as she learned to sit and crawl.
We used this in our sunroom with ceramic tile flooring once my daughter started to try sitting up (around 5 months) and I wished we had purchased this sooner!Pros:1. Very thick and cushioning. This mat helped prevent injuries as she was unstable at first with sitting, crawling and walking! Our daughter was protected and we felt comfortable letting her try to sit up and crawl around on this.2. Visually stimulating without being too much. This served as training for colors, and before she could talk, my daughter enjoyed looking at the different colors. Cute background for pictures too!3. Easy to put together and stays together very well.Cons:These cons aren't really cons, as they would be true of any foam mat, but I will list nonetheless.1. We have two cats that have their claws. We keep them trimmed, but they did scratch the mat somewhat. As stated above, this would happen with any mat and would probably be worse with a thinner mat.2. Does not work with a vacuum. Our nanny tried to vacuum one part of this and luckily, she immediately stopped. It scratched up one of the squares, but again, this would happen with any foam mat.Would highly recommend!

Good buy, great for play area
We have carpeted floors (not very cushy carpet though) and I got this mat mainly to protect my son's skin from rugburn (he's an army crawler) and to protect his head when he fell back from sitting up. The mat isn't as soft and squishy, so it doesn't protect his head from falls anymore than the carpet would - although this would probably be a really good option for someone with hardwood or tile floors. The quality seems very durable and the pieces don't come unlocked after being stepped on. The mats do have a few scratch marks from fingernails and my dog's claws, but they're just surface scratches, not a big deal. The mat isn't really grippy like a yoga mat, it's more on the smoother side. The mat does have a design on it that's probably supposed to keep it from being really slippery. No slipping or sliding so far as my son is learning to cruise on furniture.I have this laid out in our family room and the nice thing about it is that the mat doesn't have to stay rectangular. I can piece it together to fit around furniture. Even on carpet, the pieces stay together very nicely, they don't pop up or come apart. It's easy to keep clean, I just wipe down once a week with bleach water and a towel. We've had a few throw-up accidents and it was so nice that I could just wipe the area clean instead of having to break out the steam cleaner had we been playing directly on the carpet.I actually ordered 2 of these mats at different times. The first set had 6 colors - red, blue, yellow, green, orange & purple (6 squares of each color). I liked it so much that I got a second set within the next month to expand our playzone and only received 5 colors (minus the purple) and the shades of the colors were slightly different. Past complaints was that it came in a huge box - both times the boxes were big enough to hold just the mats, so they must have fixed that issue. There's a mat set where you can get a border to make the edges straight (instead of it looking like an unfinished puzzle on the edge), but that doesn't bother me at all.Great buy, would recommend.

Safe, thick, durable. The right choice for us.
This mat has a great texture and the pieces lock together well. I originally wanted a mat with letters and numbers but those were questionably toxic. That didn't deter me completely, but I knew this one was better made so I went with it. Also, you can arrange it how you want, while the alphabet one will probably compel you to put the letters/numbers in order. It looks really good on the floor too, not too childish if you're using it in a living room or common area. The thickness is great, too. She's hit her head a few times and it didn't hurt her at all. Also, there are different textures on the two sides for whatever surface you place it on. We keep it on the wood laminate floor, and it doesn't move an inch. The only thing I would change about it is to have border pieces. If you wear shoes near it and scrape the sides I could see it damaging the puzzle edge. Plus, the border pieces are really expensive so you might as well just order two sets by that point and rotate the pieces off the edge.

Strong and soft
The tiles are thicker than average tiles of this sort and with that they attach to each other better and are very strong. The material is soft and easy to wipe clean. I've had these for almost a year now and they haven't even faded in color. Very happy with this purchase.

Works great as play floor but does not come with edge pieces
We love this mat, it is easy to clean, dust and dirt came right off with swiffer and just used a damp paper towel with soap and water to scrub any sticky spots. We have hardwood floors and in our living room we had a 5 by 7 rug, the problem with this was now that baby is getting ready to crawl his mouth was on the rug and weird rug fibers were all over his mouth and hands. This provides a nice cushion to the wood floors, but it can still hurt if your head slams against it, unfortunately I found out first hand. I love how easy it is to clean. I would give it 5 stars, but this set does not come with the edge pieces which is inconvenient, not a deal breaker, but a pain nonetheless. One more thing, it is pretty durable. I was able to do yoga on top of this, I placed my yoga mat on top of the foam mats, and all of the pieces seems to stay locked together. I was pretty impressed. So are, we are very happy with it.

very nice, it is absolutely great specially for crawling babies ...
very nice, it is absolutely great specially for crawling babies as other brands are not as soft on the surface. I used to have other cheaper brands and my baby feet had marks because of crawling on their harder surface.

expensive but excellent product. Very bad seller experience
expensive but excellent product. Very bad seller experience, it was given to us at 12k, invoice that came was around 9.5 k and no reply even after continuous follow up as to why we are charged more than the invoice so go for the product but be careful with the pricing since its pretty expensive.
