The Prize Fighter

I love Tim Conway but, this was not a real favorite for me. It was corny funny. So when something was corny cute I just smiled. His YouTube videos make me laugh - but not this movie.

With the death of Tim Conway this week, I purchased this DVD. I had remembered enjoying it in the theaters when it opened. It's pure old fashioned Walt Disney style fare and Conway and Knotts are perfect. Tim wrote the story and the screenplay for this and it shows his genius in laugh out loud comedy. It is sad that he is no longer with us and even sadder that future generations will probably miss getting exposed to his brilliance. I grew up watching Tim Conway from his McHale's Navy days and he will always be a fond memory of my youth. RIP Tim.

fun to watch and totally worth the time. great movie from long ago

This is not nearly as good as their other mystery/comedy, Private Eyes, which we love! But the end makes it a worthwhile watch.

We all really enjoyed the Conway/Knotts humor in this "Rocky" parody. It is clean and funny.

My husband was so excited to get this classic movie on DVD! We watched it together as a family, and although the story-line was a little slow (as with a lot of older movies) it was funny and had a great moral to it! It's a good blend of comedy, action, and heart-warming all in one movie. Kind of like a combination between Rocky, Karate Kid, and Oscar.
