Masterfully crafted Best overall quality and performance. Not for the money but period.
Ok guys I had to come back and change my review. After 24 hours of review time I must say they hit a grand slam with this one. I've got at least one of all the China cheap fast r.c products from gptoys to wl toys even arrma. Crawlers ,buggys, monster trucks ,truggy ,drift car. 16 in total from 1/32 to 1/10th. $19.00 to $350.00 and this might be the absolute, hands down, overall best quality most fun, and longest run time. for the money. This thing out performs my granite, my vortex any other brushed system I've used. It's running a tight race with my valerian for run time. I am amazed by the quality and speed if this and for 160.00 it's worth it but mine was only $79.00 and I got it in 1 day.

Amazing car!
The media could not be loaded. I did a lot of research before buying and ended up deciding on this Whimswit Remote Control Car for 3 main reasons: 1- the speed (up to 48km/hr), 2- the fact that you can switch from fast speed to half speed, which makes learning easier., and 3- the reviews. We've had this car for about a week now and we've been using it on all types of terrains, from asphalt to dirt to grass to mountain terrain to sand and it handles all like a champ. We set up lots of jumps (the first one inside over the Amazon box) and all the other ones outside in rough terrains. So much fun! It is very well balanced and almost always falls back on its wheels. And if it crashes, it seems to handle it very well too. The attached video shows how it performs on a sandy trail: the turns produced a trail of dust to my kids' delight. The learning curve was easy for my 12-year old. I would highly recommend this car and might purchase another one so we can race them side by side.

For the price it is excellent.
All in all, this thing is quite a lot of fun. HOWEVER I wish I had gone with the FY-03 because it has many more spare parts available and is much easier to repair. The Good: Proportional throttle and steering make maneuvering easy. I am in love with the look. The plastic roll cage seems pretty rugged - it's flexible but that helps take a hit. Front bumper seems okay but not sure how long it'll hold up. Range of the radio is good enough that I can sit in my living room and drive it all the way around my house, so I'm very happy there. It's able to tough through my fallen leaves and 3" of grass, but you need to hold a certain speed as there's not a lot of low end torque. The Bad: Very open interior allows lots of rocks, leaves, sticks, dirt, etc. into the servo/motor area. Had a stick jam up my steering, and lots of gravel. Planning to 3D print a cover for the battery compartment to remedy this. Not as much metal as I had hoped but for the price I guess I can't expect too much. Suspension is pretty stiff for the weight, but that may be good if you want to jam in a larger-than-recommended battery, or multiple in parallel (like I do). Integrated receiver/ESC means you can't upgrade or swap anything. When something goes bad you're done. The Ugly: Some relatively important components don't seem very rugged, such as the upper suspension and steering rods (some reviews show them broken). A good hit to a front wheel will likely snap these. Planning to 3D print tougher replacements to remedy this. Multiple screws come loose, requiring me to check them before each time I drive. I have glued most of the problem screws in place but new ones pop up occasionally. I'm almost out of the spare shoulder screws that were included. Suspension is mostly plastic, and mine broke after a pretty good hit -- not faulting it too much for this, it was a very hard hit. Replacement suspension performs much better than stock. The stock ride height is also pretty low so this helped raise it up a bit. However I had to be creative with the replacements since the original shocks are almost impossible to find.

Do not hesitate to buy this RC car
Speed. Range of remote control and battery time. All great. Santa gave our 9 year old this rc car for Christmas. I charged up both batteries and put fresh batteries in the remote. I showed him how to slow the truck down using the throttle trim until he got used to the speed and steering, and I showed him how to change the batteries. He was off and running. After about 10 minutes I went out to see how it was going. He was having a blast! We have a 3.75 acre field next to our house. The remote reached from one side of the field to the other. The field is mowed and this car flew through the field with no issues. He put this thing through the ropes today. It held up with no issues. He climbed rocks and made a ramp and jumped it and it took everything he threw at it. There is a natural little dirt ramp and he hit it full speed and this truck hit the air flipped bumper over bumper 3 times and landed on its wheels and took off. The only issue we experienced today was one of the shocks came apart. Nothing broken just threaded the cap back onto the shock and it was off again. It may have been loose when he started. He barrel rolled it, jumped and even ran it into a few things and it just laughed and kept going. It climbs steep hills and had the power to do anything he wanted it to do. He said “Dad. This thing is a beast.”He loves it and I ordered another one today. It is a 1/10 scale. I included a picture that shows it next to our 1/8 scale gas trucks and a New Bright Frenzy 1/10 scale stadium truck. It is on the small side for a 1/10 scale but don’t let it fool you. It is just as fun and FAST!

Great RC car and GREAT company to purchase from
This RC car is awesome. Everything as described and does really well. We are enjoying it. Durability in any RC car is good at best. No matter what happens, you are going to be replacing parts in one. Unless you drive it on paved road, straight on the slow speed. Which no one will do. They are way too much fun otherwise. But there are still parts that will break and fall apart. So be prepared for that. I have four RC cars and they all get 4 stars for durability. The best part about this car though was the company that sold in through Amazon. I've had a few issues with it and their customer service has been exceptional. Some of the best I've encountered on Amazon. They have been fast, accountable, polite and have fixed every issue I've had. I will easily purchase a product sold by them again. BUY FROM THEM.
