The device is designed to place two insulated wires that need to be stripped and twisted together in preparation for a wire cap. You simply place the wires in the tool and turn the tool and it does the work. It works and saves a little time; however, I found that adding another tool to accomplish what I can get done using lineman's pliers is not convenient. Also, the design does not fit easily in my capeter pants pocket when assembled for use which makes me keep it in the tool box. I keep my 6 in one and lineman's pliers in my side pockets so they are readily available not wanting to go back to my toolbox to complete a task, thus the additional tool becomes inconvenient. It will also attach to a drill to make twisting faster. I would recommend the tool for persons new to wiring as it takes guesswork out of stripping and twisting wires and cuts just the insulation away. It also twist wires together tightly to assure a good connection.

Very poor quality item, doesn't strip center wire at all. The cut faces are poorly done. Out of 5 tests, it broke the wire 4 times, the only other result was the one in the picture without the center stripped and the outer not stripped fully. I'm using 12ga wire, yellow romex. Would not recommend.

I tried this tool several times and could NOT get it to strip the wires. I hand stripped the wires and it did the twisting very well. I was completely happy with the wire twisting. If I were judging only that, I would have given it a 5. It sucked at wire stripping.

If all the wires were stripped then yes it would twist them together but other than that it is junk. No possible way to strip and twist 2 wires together. Fabrication was so rough there were metal shavings everywhere. Do not buy….it is just more junk that doesn’t work AT ALL.

Use a drill is tricky.had to learn how to use.works very good

L’outil ne fait pas le travail il faut dénuder les fils pour un meilleur résultat. Plus souvent qu’autrement les fils cassent.
