MagpulSGA Sling Mount Remington SGA Stock

Magpul makes a beautiful product that works very well. This product is solid as a rock and is not plastic. Thing fits great and works as supposed to. The negative is that its a bit pricey but you get what you pay for, a sold item that wont break or need to be replaced later. Also this product is meant to be attached facing the left side of your weapon, which can be a problem if you have a side saddle. It fits fine no problem, doesn't even come close to my mesa tactical, but to attach a sling I would want it on the right side. The problem with this is that if attached to the right side it will hit your fingers when trying to ge the trigger. It's not a huge deal but can be bad. Just be mindful. If you have no problem mounting it on the left side then there is nothing wrong with this product. Would recommend it to anyone.

It’s a great addition to the SGA stock

There's not too much to say here. This is for use with the Rem 870 SGA Shotgun Stock. It adds the option of having a tactical sling point. It's very good quality (as all Magpul stuff is), but IMHO it should come with the stock. Magpul does make you buy every part they produce seperately, and they are a little pricey. I'm not bashing Magpul, they are in buisiness to make a profit as well as sell good stuff. Anyway it got here fast, installed easily and i'm going to buy a good tac sling to use with this.TIP: If you are going to buy the Rem 870 SGA Stock (which i highly recommend), you might want to go ahead and just order this with it, so you dont have to remove stock and reinstall it later on.

This is a sturdy sling mount and well built as expected. The stock was designed by Magpul to fit this so you know it will be a quality fit. I deducted one star because I don't like the angle of the sling mount...it is angled backwards towards your shooting hand and, if you have big hands, this actually sticks/digs into your hand if you don't have a certain grip. It forces you to grip the stock in a particular way that I'm not used to...Otherwise, this works as intended and is a quality piece of machining.

I Installed a Magpul buttstock on my Remmington 870, and realized that the sling attachment that was on it would no longer work. I found this Magpul sling attachment here and ordered it. Took about 5 minutes to install, and it was worth every penny. I purchased a two point sling, and it attached nicely to this attachment, and both hooks actually fit on this, which now makes it similar to a single point attachment with the only difference in function being that you have to remove both sling hooks.

That it's not flippable and by that i mean to say , sure you can mount it to the left or to the right but you can't choose to have it go forwards or rearwards ( as you'll notice it's some what angled ) and although that's not a huge problem or issue , some shooters , my wife for example , actually have their trigger lying right across it . SO bare that in mind . Otherwise this thing has become my main point of contacct / connection for my sling even though i've got the quck connects in the stock and the MAGPUL forward sling mount as well , the single point's position is comfortable for 1 point use and feels totally right , atleast on my set up . 1 last thing i'd like to note is that even though it states it's for the MAGPUL SGA stock only , not quite true , my buddy is running one on his 870 with what he refered to as only minor clearancing of the factory stock with a dremel in less than 5 minutes . SO , you don't necesarily have to limit yourself when choosing or atleast considering this and similar options .

Fits flush on the 870 magpul stock. Using a single point sling it sits very nice. I debated on which way to set the swivel with the d part facing forward or facing the thumb. The way mine is if I put it on the opposite side of the ejection port the d part faces the thumb. no choice in the matter. The image suggest otherwise. Some images of it online has it facing the other way but maybe that one is for a 2 point sling. I like it facing the way mine is so I have no complaints. Just an observation. It still works well and is not in the way. Action gear people were great. Fast shipping and emails sent promptly with tracking numbers. I ordered one before this from the price pros. They were like a monkey doing you know what with a football. no tracking number, did not even had the item in stock. Best to avoid them. As for action gear,,,,thanks and kudos.

The sling mount is really solid and easy to install on the SGA stock. My only issue i found was the sling tends to be in the way of your trigger finger, not enough to actually hinder being able to shoot the gun but it just became kind of annoying. This might also be because of the sling I have, I do not have another to try out. The sling i have has large clips. A small clip might eliminate this problem. If your going to a sling I would recommend the push button kit for the rear of the SGA stock
