good but costly

Good book

This is a very comprehensive book that covers nearly all the basic concepts in geometry - parallels, intersections, congruence, similarity, dilation of many figures. There is a lot of information packed in this packed and they have done a very good job of systematically laying down the explanations in a step-by-step manner.However, the reason I took off 1 star is for 2 main reasons: 1) There needs to be more space provided for completing constructions and 2) Problems involving proving a concept e.g. congruence between 2 triangles - the proof is all laid out with a 'fill in the blanks' format i.e. the student has to just fill in the blanks without having to think out what the steps should be; the student should have to think of what the next step needs to be and not have it spoon-fed to them in a 'fill-in-the-blank' style.Get rid off the 'fill in the blank' format for the proofs; the student can write out the proofs on a separate blank piece of paper (scrap-paper provided by the teacher or the parent) and use that space instead for allowing more space for geometric constructions.We bought this for our 2nd grade kid because she enjoys math puzzles.

This was the missing piece I needed. It explains how you do it and there are a lot of practice questions with answer keys in the back. I felt stupid as an adult having to order this, but I wanted to learn geometry. It worked.

One way to engage kids in this pandemic. My daughter is loving it.
