Creative for sure.
I just received the book and It is a beautiful book on painting with Acrylics. Amazing works. Of course, I have my favorites, but all the works are full of energy and wonder. As a landscape artist, Section 1 ~ I really was taken by the beautiful acrylic painting on canvas "Boundary Waters Shoreline." The artist is Edward DuRose. There is another painting titled "Market Street Canyon, 2:44pm" by Andrew J. Morrison that leaves me in awe...as well as "Night Time Encounter." by Veronica Schmitt. An exciting painting by Paula Van Huss.."Forest Service Road" got my attention. "Coffee Corner" by Jose Ramon Muro Pereg demands attention as well. IN the Portraits & People section 2 ~ of the book, "My Moment with Mona" brings you to a stop. Simply amazing work by J.M. Brodrick. "Embracing the Dancer," is another by Pamela Edevold. and "Fear not for the Future, Weep Not For the Past." is amazing portrait by Dan Simoneau. I have to mention "Eclectic" by Marissa Madonna too. Too many wonderful works that should be mentioned in this section, but not enough room to do so. In the section ~ Still Lifes & More is amazing with all the incredible creative energy in its work. How can a still life create so much energy?!....well they do. "Alabaster Muse 1962 Imperial Crown" by Allison Simmons grabs your attention as soon as you turn the page. Artist Kathy Hildebrandt 's work is in this book.."Put Some Vice In Your Life" Her work will always leave you in awe. "Snake Eyes" got my attention by John E. Schaefer. I look at it and wonder how?? "Lost Soul, South of France, 1917" by Steve Wilda is amazingly executed...and so many, many more still lifes. Section 4 ~ Abstractions connects to your soul and spirit. "Colorado Plateau" by Rick Heck is beautiful modeling with the acrylic. "Burst" by Sharon Kleiman is a stunning expression. "It's A Journey2" by Susan Lucas is beautiful. I love the acrylic with silver leaf by Brian O'Neil.."Copper Canyon." They are all inspiring works. Section 5 ~ Animals is amazing as it starts out with "Australian White Ibis" by David Lawruk. It is amazing how the shallows of the water reflects the Ibis and how well depicted the bird is done. I love the reeds too. Page after page of this section expresses so much energy and excitement. "All Aboard" by Kathy Cameron is a stunner. The raven is incredible. So life-like. I especially love the eye. "The Game of Their Lives" by Larry Carver. It causes me to just sit there and study its unusual composition. I loved reading the meaning behind the artists expression of how wildlife is threatened today. And "Tusker" by Wayne Chunet , a vision of a charging Elephant. I love Elephants and this of course speaks powerfully to me in more ways than just one. "Western Dust - Mottled Horses" . by Iwona Jankowski is so expressive in color usage. The eye of the horse is amazing giving me a place to rest my own eyes. The cat painting, "The Lookout" By Pamela Edevoid I love the texture and the difference in the fur of the cat and the texture of the pine tree. And, Another cat painting, "Mascherina On Cloud" by Vie Dunn-Han is so spiritually done. It flows and touches the soul. "Barred Owl Eyes" by J. Elaine Senacik And as I come to the makes me feel as if the owl is looking at me and has much to say. As I come to the end of the book, "Penelope" by Annie Troe grabs my heart. The eyes and the brushstrokes pull me into this work. There are too many outstanding paintings to mention here. I keep being drawn to "She Has The Key To Our Hearts" painting by Edward Smith. Tomorrow if I go through, there will be no doubt others that I would name here. There is no room. Congratulations to all the artists and their most incredible art.
