If you do any home brewing or bread making during the cold winter months, this Inkbird Wi-Fi temperature controller is hands-down one of the best investments you can make. It takes all the guesswork out of temperature management when the house or garage gets freezing. Here is why it has been a total game-changer for my setup: * Remote Monitoring via Wi-Fi: The ability to check live temperatures from my phone while I'm away from home is fantastic. You get complete peace of mind knowing your fermentation isn't spiking or dropping unexpectedly. * Flawless for Kveik Yeasts: Kveik strains need serious heat to work their magic (often up around 35°C–40°C), which used to be a real struggle in winter. With this controller managing my heating element, it holds high temperatures rock-solid without drifting. * Precise Cold Crashing: Switching over to control cooling for a cold crash at the end of fermentation is effortless. It dials right down to clear the beer perfectly before bottling/kegging. * Dual-Use for Bread Making: Beyond brewing, it’s equally brilliant for bread making in the winter. Plugging a heating mat into this creates a perfectly regulated proofing box for dough and starters when the kitchen is far too chill. Verdict: Setup was straightforward, the app is responsive, and dual heating/cooling outlet control makes it endlessly versatile. If you want precise, hands-off control over your fermentations year-round, buy it without hesitation!

The GOOD: Bought this twice. Once for a fully automated small bread prooving room and once for keeping the greenhouse plants alive when the temperature drops, mostly during night. The bread stuff is a bit more complicated (up to the user how much control is needed) but all can be done using your phone, creating daily or non-daily cycles for anything. The app could be better and more user-friendly but for this price it is more than the best value ever to be found! You can outright build sophisticated temperature (and with another device also humidity) controlled rooms for less than 10% of the price of commercial pre-built purpose rooms. Used for home beer brewing as well, however, they now have a specific type of this device for that, however, this can do the same. All in all, if you are into automation, if you are a control freak, if you are not happy with other controllers and their limited settings or bad cooling differentials, if you want cycles and custom programmes, this is your device! I don't work for Inkbird but sometimes I wish I did as their products are insanely good. THE BAD: Keep spares of the humidity and temperature sensors and probes as they are not very long lasting. The temp probe on this is better but can still fail. Inkbird's humidity sensors break far too easily but that's not relevant to this exact product so I wouldn't knock off a star, however, working with heaters and coolers with the probe failing can be disastrous, so it was worth to mention. The wifi only supports 2.4G and it always needs a strong or upper medium signal. The antenna built inside is just poor. You need to have your wifi closer. My phone will have a good medium signal where this device will fail to connect. Overall 5 stars for the insane versatility and quality of the product with the additional automation capability. Seems somewhat water resistant, too. Never had issues with it in a 100% RH environment. Nothing comes even close for a much higher price.

Excellent. I'm using this to keep a greenhouse at 9 degrees overnight during seedling growing seasons and it's doing a great job. You can also set alarms for high temperatures or low temperatures so you can intervene if the heater hasn't been working or you've left the door open. I'm impressed with it, easy to set up and seems durable. Greatvalue for money imo.

Excellent customer service. my device failed after a working perfectly for about a year, replacement on its way, worked 10/10, good device very helpful for live temperature monitoring and accurate temperature control with heating or cooling possibilities. Use it for my greenhouse and i can monitor the temperature from my phone.

Absolutely amazing haven’t had no problems with it but the only thing I would say is that the light turns of and turns back on constantly

I'm using this as a temperature controller for my homebrewing system and it works like a charm. It performs perfectly, turning on/off my heating element to keep a constant temperature when mashing grain. I set the inkbird to my target temp and then step away to do other things and dont have to worry about overshooting the strike temp. Then when mashed in I can be confident that the temperature is going to be constant throughout the mash, unlike before where I would lose ~10c in a 60 minute mash. The app is intuitive to use and pairing the device took literally 30 seconds. I also love being able to set the desired temp and various settings via the app instead of fiddling with the device itself and as a bonus I can monitor the temps from anywhere. I'd say the app functionality definitely makes it worth the extra over the base ITC-308. The temp is accurate right out of the box when i tested against two other temperature probes I have. it looks like there is a calibration mode in the app too if needed. For those wondering (as I was), this product works with 2.4kw Heating elements. At the time I bought the product, the description stated 2200w max but I see it has since changed to state 240v / 2400w compatibility.

There is not a huge array of heating control options in Europe, at an affordable price. And that suited my needs. Alot of excess functions that I would not ever need. The Inkbird wireless thermostat is compact enough and is easy to set up. Connecting it to the wifi was a bit of a chore, but success was achieved. This device keeps my 2 heaters controlled in my tent to maintain daytime and night time temperatures. And it does this with ease. The Inkbird app is easy to use, set the temperature and when that is reached, the Inkbird turns of the heaters. It also has a refrigerant socket for people controlling lower temperatures, like beer brewing but I have no use for that. For this price, it is good value. I have owned my Inkbird for 2 years and it has had a 4 month brak but has been running permanently and no problems to report. Not one. So well done Inkbird. If you really need to time your heaters, then this is a good investment.

I was planning to use this for fridge temperature control for home brewing or cheesemaking, depending on time of year. I wanted a controller where I could export data for historical logging purposes. This system can do that... but only via the app. Using the app requires your name, contact number, email address. They'll also collect your "profile information" including profile picture. They'll also collect mobile network information, may collect real-time precise geolocation information, and may collect images or videos captured by the camera. Personal data may be shared with Inkbird's *customers*, which implies that someone can simply buy that data from them. Your information may be transferred to jurisdictions other than where you live and processed under those local laws. The user agreement also requires that you limit your right to freedom of speech. You must promise that you will not [...] upload, share or transfer information that [...] opposes the basic principles determined in the Constitution [of China], damages state honor and benefit, sabotages national unity etc. All adjudications to be performed by the People's Court of China. It's a shame, because as far as reading up on temperature controllers has gone, Inkbird is a synonym for it. From everything I've heard, they're really good devices. But there's no way I'll ever use one under those terms.

I had an issue with the probe malfunctioning. To my surprise, INKBIRD ended up sending me a new unit since it was still under warranty. Very happy with the customer service - they were prompt in responding and getting to a desired outcome. Thank you!

works perfectly. highly recommended. I am using it for the warm side of my pet snake and it is working perfectly with the heat matt. With the WiFi feature, literary I can monitor + control the maximum and minimum temperature of it from any where.

Lovely product for salt water tanks, just hoped the temperature sensor could be easily removed and reattached Incase it fails. Readings are accurate and updates quickly.

I chose this device based on misguiding you tube videos. It is not what I wanted. In fact , my STC1000 temperature controllers are far more convenient and cost effective than this device. I am sorry, but it’s not something I can use as-is. I had to combine it with another controller to make it fit. YouTubers who claim they reviewed it should clarify what the Set Temperature mean and not imply it’s flexibility. Yes it is something good for fermentation, but not for maintaining a range. Say I want the temperature to continually cool to the set temperature then heat to the peak temperature, this device is implied to do that, but not true.
