Arctic King WWK05CM01N Window Air Conditioner, White

First note. I didn't install it. I'm not handy, so I hired someone to do it. Second note. I bought it to cool down the bedroom while we sleep. I was a little worried because it was so much less expensive than the other options on Amazon. I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised by how effective it is. It's not the most powerful of machines, but if you need to keep a small room cooled down, this is great. I kind of put it in between a fan and a normal air conditioner in regards to performance, which is all I really needed. Even at full blast at the coldest setting for the whole night, it doesn't make the room ice cold or even close to ice cold. However, it definitely cools it down and I have it directly blowing on me which works great! It's actually really good for another purpose. If your partner likes it hot (my girlfriend does), and you like it cold (I do), this is actually a perfect option. Just have it blow on you and not your partner, and you're good to go!!!

I got it installed by myself. It’s small but kinda heavy. I’ve been running it non stop for about 3-4 weeks now. Still working. I have a medium sized room with computer constantly running in it. If I turn this cooler to max the cooler can overcome the heat from the computer and make it uncomfortably cold in my room. So I run it at about 80% of max. The other reviews some people complaining about it not working after a while. So time will tell but so far so good.

I got this unit for my kid's game room and it freezes them out within minutes. I run it on low cool and about 6 on the dial and they often have to bundle up or ask me to turn it down while playing. The space isn't huge by any means (less than 200 sq ft), but this thing blazes when it comes to lowering the temp. For reference, I live in Louisiana where it pretty much stays incredibly hot and muggy.

Bought this unit as a supplemental cooling unit to our existing central air unit as my room runs warm; cheaper to cool down my room versus cooling the whole house. I started using this unit with an Inkbird 308-WiFi temp controller. When I tried using the unit traditionally, I found that the compressor delay timer was not working; (the compressor would cycle on/off every 30 seconds versus every 3 minutes as advertised). If I wasn’t using the inkbird temp controller, this would burn up the compressor very quickly. If I had noticed this early on, I would’ve returned the unit, but now I’m stuck with it. It has been a good unit thus far. Also, you’ll need to drill drain holes in the bottom for condensation to drain, otherwise it just puddles for algae and mold to grow. Cools my medium sized bedroom well, could cool a bigger sized bedroom/room.

Purchased this because price was great. Installation was easy and quick. Air Conditioner worked great at first for about 3 weeks. The air conditioner has been in constant use though the compressor only turned on a few times as the weather has been cool. A week ago, as the weather warmed up, the compressor would turn on and cool. Then a few days ago, when the compressor tries to turn on, it would make a very loud buzzing and humming sound, and then it would turn off. 30 – 40 seconds later, the compressor would try to turn on again with the same very loud buzzing and humming sound, and then it would turn off.Because of this, the unit is not cooling.Their customer service is wonderful. They took my info, asked me to send a short video of the issue, along with the purchase receipt, and said they would send me a refund! I’ll post an update if I get the refund.

We have an LG 5000 BTU that produces almost twice the cooling...not a happy camper with this product. And cannot return...durrrrrr

We live in San Francisco and we’ve being getting some really hot days around 80-100 degrees we order this AC and we are very impressed it works and keep ou bedroom koolWe didn’t instale it with over or in the window frame we just put it on top of a table close to the window and cover the rest of the window with cardboard

I’m so surprised how well this air conditioner works. I live in Florida and I am using this in a bedroom. Makes the room like ice.
