Great Resource During Nursing School!
This was a great resource to have during nursing school. Easy to reference in class and small enough to keep in my pocket during clinicals. Highly recommend!

Is critical thinking still taught to healthcare workers?
This little guy is perfect for carrying around at work. It’s called a POCKET drug guide. I don’t know how big all y’all’s pockets are, but if you get much bigger than this, it isn’t going to fit without looking pretty awkward walking around. The text is small but very crisp and legible. If you have trouble reading it, then it’s time for an updated glasses prescription. There is no reason, young or old, you can’t read the print if you are wearing appropriate prescription lenses (it doesn’t count if it’s been more than a few years since you got new glasses!). I have horrifically bad myopia and I can read the print from a foot away. That’s because I’ve gotten updated prescription glasses in the last 2 years. My old prescription wouldn’t have cut it.If you want something bigger, there are plenty of apps and other hard copy options available, but please don’t buy something that is advertised as a pocket edition with over 4100 drugs included and listed with dimensions of 3x5x0.75” and then complain that you can’t read the text. Let’s use some common sense. You’re probably healthcare employees of some kind and you’ve all been taught critical thinking. A book that is 3x5x0.75” and includes the drug class, pregnancy risk and controlled substance category, black box warnings, indications and dosages, dosage adjustments, adverse effects, interactions, and key teaching points of over 4100 drugs? The only possible way for that to fit in a book of this size is if the print is small. Don’t come here and give the book a low star rating because you didn’t bother to give thought to the item you were purchasing.

A 3" x 5" pocket drug guide.
Well I missed seeing the actual size of the booklet before I ordered it... that's on me. So it was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. The font (text) size is around 5 or so. So.... teeny tiny! Even with my glasses I have to use a magnifying glass. Of course if they used a bigger font size the booklet would have to be either thicker, or they'd have to leave out some things. Neither of those scenarios would be ideal. It is what it is. The information is in a format well suited to someone with basic training in the medical field. Overall a good value if you have really good eyes, or really good corrective lenses.

Great resource and great size!
I love how this book fits right in my pocket. I have the Davis' Drug Guide book which is too big to carry around in my pockets. I just completed my 1st semester of the ADN program and used this book for clinicals just last week and it did not disappoint. Although I love my Davis Drug Guide, this book came in so much use because of its size. Some reviews complained that it was hard to follow, but I did not have that problem at all. Tons of information packed into this tiny book and definitely worth getting. I even pulled it out to look up a drug for one of the nurses.

Micro font.......
I understand it said “pocket” but this is written for 20 year old nurses. The book is smaller than my iPhone and the font is extremely small. I haven’t used it yet, but I will probably look for a standard size book for my reference use. I don’t want to dock them too much for my old eyes, so I‘m giving 4 stars...

SO COMPACT AND USEFUL
I got this little handy thing for hassle-free drug reference for my second semester of nursing clinicals. I don't know what I'd do without it! I learn so much more during clinicals and am always able to reference drugs to provide good nursing care. I have a big drug book as well, which goes waaaaay more in-depth for care plans and stuff, but this is the true star of my clinical days. So compact and tiny, you don't even notice it in your pocket. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Great drug guide!
Small, portable, and perfect for nursing school! there’s some blank pages in the back where I wrote all my lab values I have to remember for clinical just in case I can’t remember them. I like this one a lot!

CUTE LITTLE POCKET BOOK!
Very true to size, POCKET SIZED BOOK. I have used the regular sized lippincott books and have found them to be very informative and perfect for a nursing student- this book gives you the important details and keeps information compact! if you’re looking for every detail possible, this isn’t for you. but if you’re already pretty educated and just need a reminder here and there while on the field, this is an amazing reference and tool to have!
