Beatles Paul, is so obvi{usly here.
That John was a hero. But I am told he abused his first wife, Cynthia, and he'd given a few good hiding to Yoko?? as GuiltyThe truth of the matter, was that we are all a or wouldnt flawed, making us Guilty too. So I was one of those who couldn't or wouldn't see human beings, faulty. And idolised John. So purposely avoided Paul's success, by not listening to some of his work, such as WINGS OVER AMERICA which I'm listening too, for the first time, and I Love it. So if you're like me and have denied yourself this TREAT.. BUY IT NOW and hear a MASTER AT WORK.I KNOW IT'S 'middle of the road', and rather TAME.. but I bet you won't be disappointed.. The JOY going into your lug holes..

Good times
When this came out I remember cramming three vinyls on to a C120 cassette. Still my favourite live album ever, for more than 45 years. Although greatly studio enhanced after the gigs, if you’re wondering whether to go for it, you won’t be disappointed. McCartney never captured this type of live sound ever again The following Wings tour of 1979 he did with different lead guitar/drummer didn’t come remotely close to this. Was the best line-up he ever toured with. And ever will…..

Live Over America
The Last Waltz is my favourite live recording -The Band's farewell concert with a documentary directed by Martin Scorsese. Bob Dylan At Budokan is up there too. Here in America Paul McCartney -erstwhile Beatle- shows off his guitar noodling and songwriting skills. There's plenty to eat here if seen like musical cuisine. Wings are a very good light rock band -Radio 2 breakfast circa 1976 vintage (the same year of this release). Reaching #8 in UK and #1 in USA. Catchy ditties; mellifluous voice. A long way from Hamburg and the Cavern Club, Liverpool. Very well performed it certainly keeps the purists happy; it keeps the music happy. 1970s: a productive decade for Paul McCartney And Wings. His late wife Linda Eastman played keyboards. And a James Bond opening titles song. In Wings Over America 28 songs disgorge themselves into a timeless show of performance. Why wouldn't you not want to listen to it?

A blast, Wings rock show.
What a blast. Great live band. McCartney, bass high in the mix, enjoying himself. This was the democratic iteration of Wings. Multiple writer/singer spotlights in this one. The beginning of him performing Beatles' materials alongside tracks from Wings previous three albums. Jimmy McCulloch produces some fine solos. Great horn section too.

Great recording from the 70's
Bought this album when recommended by a friend. Great sound recording, especially as it was mid 1970's. Paul's bass sound is very prominent, which I like and his voice is at it's peak. Wings and The Beatles passed me by when they were first out, but I've discovered recently how good they really were.Only thing I don't like is the cardboard sleeves instead of jewel cases.
