This is a Great Solar Generator
The media could not be loaded. Overall, this is one of the best solar generators out there. I am a regular amazon customer that does a lot of traveling and I needed a solar generator for my travels, camping ect. I will go over the pros and cons that I experienced while using this device.Pros:Durable and Beautiful- This product is durable, with a beautiful blue finish with white matte material. There is no part about the case that is cheap. The handle is very durable and is great to use when picking up the device to carry it around. I wouldn’t recommend throwing the solar generator around like a toy, but if one were to drop it or bump it on something,I believe the build quality is good enough to handle it . Therefore, this generator can be great for outdoor use in a camping situation.Regulated DC 12v-The 12v outlet IS A REGULATED.. For any solar generator enthusiast, this is a must. This means, when the power of the solar generator goes down from an100% charge to a 40% or lower, the 12v output will still output 12v! Many, many solar generators on the market DO NOT HAVE THIS. This is a big deal, incase you wanted to run a 12v mini fridge in your car, or a 12v heating blanket to keep you warm while camping. If the 12v output was unregulated, it means that at a certain state of charge, that your device WOULD STOP WORKING.PURE SINE WAVE- I cannot stress how important this is. I guess I’m making a big deal about this because I bought a solar generator from another company that advertised “pure sine wave” and it wasn’t. For pure you should get the EXACT same performance from using the Alpha’s AC outlets when being compared to an in home AC wall outlet. There is a way to test this without buying a fancy sine wave analyzer. Take a device, like a blender, a vacuum cleaner, a box fan and run it on one of your AC outlets in your home, then run it on the Alpha’s AC outlet. It should make the same sound, push the same amount of air, have the same amount of power ect. With all my tests with several appliances, I did this. It is truly amazing to have true portable home power!Light weight super charger - This outputs about 160 watts of power an hour. For comparison, there is a cheaper well-known solar generator on amazon that is 500watt but takes 10-14 hours to charge by AC!. And that’s only 500watts. The Alpha will take around 9 hours to charge three times that, 1500 watts. Compared to other solar generators, the charging time by AC is pretty fast. When charging, the cooling fan turns on to keep the unit cool.MPPT Charge controller- They truly have a MPPT charge controller built in. With two 50w panels connected in series (100watts), I was able to get 86 watts at solar noon. Some well-known companies don’t even have a MPPT charge controller built in, which will make for slow charge times when using solar panels.Over Voltage, low voltage, over heating and low temperature protection- This is all built into the battery management system. The fan is quiet but at the same time can push plenty of air. They have an actual intake vent with a fan and a out take vent with a fan. So I took a small piece of Saran wrap and while the fan was on, the saran wrap got sucked onto the intake fan proving that there is an intake of fresh air into the solar generator. Then, I noticed something very interesting. When the unit was charging, the out take fan was pushing so much air, that it was slightly moving a few of my vertical curtain blinds on my glass door from about 6ft away. Have a look at other solar generators and look at their cooling set up. The cooling is set up like a gaming desktop computer. Without having proper cooling, your internal components will overheat. In this case, the lithium batteries will overheat. Just like gaming desktop computers that have intake and outtake fans, this solar generator has them also. This will reduce overheating. But on top of that, like I said, there is overheating and low temperature protection, meaning, the device will stop in taking and discharging energy if the device becomes too cold or too hot, which will protect the chemistry within the lithium batteries.Display- They display the outgoing wattage from the USBs, 12v or AC plugs and they display the incoming wattage that may come in from the charging cord or from solar energy. The display also shows the battery life. And the display will show warning codes (that is explained in the manual, like low temp, high temp warning, ect).Amazing customer service - 12 month warranty. I was able to correspond with a actual person about the product and all my questions were answered. It appears this company has been in the solar generator and battery business for years, so that is good.Cons:Portable- This thing is a bit on the heavy side. There is a nice handle built on top that makes it easier to carry. I'm assuming the weight is from all of the lithium batteries.Power brick- Its light weight, but it does get a little hot pushing 160 watts an hour to charge the device. It doesn't get dangerously hot, but I would like to see a power brick option that has a built in fan to cool down the brick, which I think may provide more watts per hour in charging since the wattage output may be limited because of the thermals.Display- No battery temperature displayed. I haven't found but one solar generator that had a battery temperature reading on the display. It would be nice to see this in added in the future.I hope my review helps someone when deciding on which solar generator to choose.

Defective unit
I received the product didn’t work properly threw up Error codes E012 AC. The seller said to open the panel and test the power sent the seller pictures and video of the product they didn’t seem impressed. The only thing that worked on this unit was the USB plug in the cigarette lighter port everything else didn’t work sent the product back took forever to get a refund. Had Amazon step in to get a refund

Very Surprising! I really do like it.
With a 1,500wh battery, it's plenty of power for me for power outages. I feel that the 1,000w inverter would've been better if it were 1,500 watts but what I like is that I can run the full 1,000 watts non stop. I have had other solar generators that had a 1,500-watt inverter but could only run 550 watts which I feel is ridiculous. So I'm glad they didn't put in a 1,500w inverter and I could only use 1,000 watts. It's great that they sized the inverter to the battery. They say it can input 500 watts in solar panels but I find that 400 watts in panels works best for me. It's hard to get 60v and 10a and make 500 watts. I use four 100 watt solar panels where I have two connected to eachother and the other two connected to eachother. Then I use a 2 way mc4 connector to connect the two sets of panels together so I can make the 400 watts. I like that it has an MPPT charge controller so that I can get more power on cloudy days.

Perfect for long term outages
Just got it today and plugged it into the wall to charge it. Hooked up two 100 watt solar panels, tomorrow I'll see how it charges on solar. Tried it on a few things, ran my torch halogen light and LED torch light without a hitch. Ran my knife sharpener too. But didnt run my Keurig coffee maker, not enough power. Pretty bummed about that, I'll have to buy a different coffee maker with less watts. I have a gas generator as my main backup, this is for long term power outages.

Buyers beware
Unit is heavy so I brought solar panels as they suggested, unit did not charge,Extremely disappointed. I cannot lift unit in and out my van to an outlet. Waste of money

Was a lifesaver during California power outage!
I ordered this just before the California power outage, and it worked perfectly. I was able to run my main refrigerator and garage freezer continuously, and recharge it during the day with solar panels. It exceeded my expectations. The screen shows how much power you are consuming and how much you are charging it via solar or conventional plug.It lived up to and exceeded expecations, being able to run a microwave oven and toaster as well.

Monster battery with some downside
Huge capacity, although very heavy. One thing I don’t like is the fan kicks in even at low wattage output such as 10W. It’s noisy inside a house, though not a problem outdoors.
