MetroFlash Danger Zone Tail light
I put many many miles on my bike on a daily basis especially in the evening when I ride to and from my night job- which is quite a distance from where I live. Therefore, I come from a long line of many different bicycle lights that I've tried over the years; so far the MetroFlash Danger Zone has been my best purchase. I have come to the conclusion that there are several key factors to consider when purchasing a bicycle light and spending more money does not necessarily guarantee better performance. I will elaborate on these factors:Brightness: The main reason for using a bike light is to make sure that you are easily noticed by drivers. The MetroFlash Danger Zone is INCREDIBLY bright. Like I mentioned, I do the majority of my bike riding in the evening and I find that a driver would have to be blind not to notice you with this light.Installation: It took me less than two minutes to mount the light on my seat and several seconds to remove it. The MetroFlash Danger Zone comes with a mount included.Flashing Options: The MetroFlash Danger Zone features three flashing options: Flashing, Chasing, and Constant. I usually go with the chasing option as I find it the most attractive.Overall Performance: After several weeks of use the light is still working as strong as in the beginning which indicates a long battery life. It comes with 2 aaa batteries included.Price: As I stated before I have used many bicycle lights over the years. I spent as much as 60 bucks for one and I was very disappointed when it broke after several weeks. The MetroFlash Danger Zone is very affordable and it has great value for your money. It is the BRIGHTEST light I have tried so far.Other: There is one feature to the MetroFlash Danger Zone that I have yet to come across in all the lights I’ve used and that is the simplicity and ease of switching flashing modes. In other words it is extremely easy to switch from one blinking mode to the other. There are no switches involved; just a small button that is activated by a feather light touch which means that you can very easily change modes while riding your bike.Overall I’m very satisfied with this product and I rate it five stars in all areas. I hope my review helps you make the right decision. Stay safe!

This light was pretty good while it lasted
This light was pretty good while it lasted. The picture shows what I have left of it--the broken off clip. I bought it in summer of 2013 and used it for regular commuting until this afternoon, October 2015. Apparently on a bump the rear black plastic clip molded to the back of the light snapped, and the light dropped on the road somewhere on my commute. My first inclination was to go back 10 miles looking for it, but I fortunately kissed it goodbye. It was a good, cheap, light, but had cons, too. I own MANY rear lights that I rotate through, expensive and cheap. My daily commutes are almost always at night, and I run two rear lights at a time, in case batteries die in one during a commute.Pros:--Inexpensive--This light is bright, and I like the flashing mode.--Pretty decent side visibility.--Somewhat water-resistantCons:--On-off switch WAY too easy. I've accidentally burned through batteries when it came on by itself while in my bike bag.--Eats through batteries a bit faster than lights of similar brightness.--Batteries not the easiest to change. Not hard, but not the easiest. Then again, it never flew open on bumps, spilling batteries like some cheaper lights do.--The plastic is obviously not the finest, as the break that ended this light's life attests. I don't have BAD bumps on my commute....I would actually do about 3.5 stars on this light, mostly because it finally broke during normal usage. I'm online right now getting ready to buy another light. Not sure it will be another SafetyZone... 50% chance....

SO BRIGHT!!!!
I didn't want much, just an affordable way to legally ride at night. This thing is SO BRIGHT if you look at it directly you will literally see stars. It is simple, and mounts easily. In addition, I have not got this wet, but it appears to have a very nice rubber seal all the way around it, and snaps firmly shut, so I do not expect it to have a problem even in heavy rains. Some of the reviews compliment how bright this is, and then complain how quickly the batteries drain. I think they fail to realize that you can't have a brighter light without draining the battery faster (get 4 rechargeables, and exchange them as needed). Also, the button is extremely sensitive, but it also means you don't have to get off the bike to turn it on and off, just reach down and touch it. I also like that it has three modes, enough to have options, but not enough to drive you crazy. I have one that has 7 modes and you can miss half your ride looping through them. The only downside is that the mounting bracket does not work that well (same as most of these cheap lights). If you tighten it too tight I believe you will break the clamp, and if you under tighten it the light droops a little more each time you hit a bump. However, I discovered a very simple fix to this problem, and that is mount the light directly above my bike reflector light and let the weight of the light rest on the top of my reflector. Problem solved!!!!! works awesome, and when you take the light off it no longer blocks the reflector. So, I am giving this five stars because it works better than expected, and for the price is exactly what I needed.

VERY bright, need to angle down a bit to not blind drivers
This item is perfect for my need, clips easy. I have it mounted on the seat stay for my Boardman cyclo-cross bike, as MTX rack mounting is challenges when install the bag/case. IT is not the only light I use as I like to be highly visible to the many "distarcted" drivers that inhabit out roads

one of the best and practical tail lights for the bargain price that I got it for. you can either use it with the frame that it comes with or just clip it on your backpack, trousers, clothing or saddle bag ! really useful and does the job properly !highly recommended !
