Gears 5 Standard Edition (Xbox One)

A real return to form after the disappointment that was Gears 4! Gears 5 is everything 4 should've been! Multi-player is better than ever, with fluid gameplay without any frame drops as well as a plethora of new modes to try and enjoy. The maps are well designed and lend themselves out to mp perfectly. A lot of new characters both from COG and the Swarm/Locust hordes. Escape mode is fun and I have been having a blast playing it with my friends! Horde mode is back and while it hasn't changed too much, I still play it with my friends over Xbox Live and its a blast(no offline splitscreen on either Escape or Horde unfortunately, but the campaign and multiplayer can be played offline with bots and in split screen). The campaign has an average story that is nothing to write home about, but the new open world structure is great and looks gorgeous with the new lighting, specially on a Xbox One X in 4k. Overall, really happy with my purchase and was definitely worth the 4000 at launch. It's an amazing game and the only one that comes closest to the legacy that Gears 3 left behind and fulfilling the original vision Gears was created for by its original owners, Epic Games before Microsoft bought over the IP.

Played this on the Xbox Series X. Fantastic visuals. Buttery smooth gameplay. If played on a UHD 4k 60Hz Television, the experience is elevated to another level. Good plot as well. Swift delivery by Amazon.

Has some issues with dialogue sounds not working . I have also noticed freezes and crashes. Patches haven't fixed this for me. DLCs are also very expensive for what they have to offer. Just a single multi-player character costs 1000.Apart from that gameplay is solid as always. The tech behind the game has also been massively improved. Matchmaking is quick. Jack upgrades was a nice addition. Kait is surprisingly a likeable protagonist.

Amazing campaign story with the absolute best graphics 8th gen consoles can provide. A must buy for any Gears fan and a good place for a new player to start on as Gears 4 recap is available to watch.

Its a fantastic game after GOW 3... brilliant story, awesome combat and jaw dropping graphics...its a gems for true gears fan...i think everyone should have to try this.

Gears of war 5 is one of best gears games with fantastic graphics and perfect gameplay. Gears of war 5 should be game of the year !
