Didn’t work for me
Wanted these for pudding. Thought I would soak as large pearls often need soaking. Many disintegrated into little hard chunks. So I pitched those. Thought perhaps I could just simmer them to soften, well after close to an hour they were still very hard , crunchy and didn’t turn clear. So they just didn’t work for me no matter what I tried.

Don’t soak too long
Well- these pearls do tend to disintegrate faster than other pearls. They do not come with instructions. Since tapioca pearls are so different in structure, they should all come with instructions. I have found that if these pearls are rinsed well to start, soaked for about 30 minutes, and then cooked until they are nearly translucent-10 to 20 minutes or so - they will hold up in a pudding and provide nice chewy pearls. Some will fall apart, but enough will be in tact.

Absolute Garbage
No amount of soaking, rinsing, cooking works. I had cooked a pot of gooey napalm that had no tapicoa balls at all. I dumped in the trash and it dried into a gooey mess. Wallpaper paste anyone? Don't waste your money or time. They don't give refunds or returns because they know their product is vile and a waste of money.

Too LARGE
The pearl size is too large for my preference. The large balls remained doughy even after hours of pre-soaking and cooking properly.

I've bought this before and made a "South African" pudding

Thick - gummy and takes forever to cook
The tapioca was too large and took almost one and a half hours to cook. Even then, it was not thoroughly cooked when I tasted it. I ended up throwing the entire dessert away. It was horrible—thick, gummy, and a huge mess. I added water repeatedly, but it remained so thick that you could cut it with a knife. It was a waste of money for me, and I had to toss all of it out. I will not buy it again.
