Principles of Chemistry: A Molecular Approach

Simplifies complex chemistry topics well
Complex concepts, such as rate laws and the more difficult concepts of acids and bases among others, were broken down well and explained with helpful detail. It is the type of book that you can sit and read for a longer period of time because, although it seems like it is based on size, it isn't a verbose book and relates chemistry topics to the real world. The chapter review exercises are also very well organized, getting a bit more and more difficult as you progress rather than mix a very simple problem with a very difficult one right after.Toward the end of the chapter, they also provide a unique section called the "Key Learning Objectives" where they guide you toward specific chapter review exercises that relate to in-chapter example problems. Speaking of those in-chapter example problems, I thought it was nice how they guide you through a problem and then leave a "For Practice" one that has no guidance and challenges you to mimic the path they gave for the previous example problem. My college used this book for an entire year for a general chemistry sequence, so I experienced this entire book and was satisfied with it overall.

Easy to follow with many examples! Not the best but definitely worth it!
This is a good chemistry book for anyone in an AP chemistry or college chemistry setting for those taking their first Chemistry course in a post secondary school setting. I have seen a better book for this topic but this book does serve its purpose and I would recommend using it consistently especially if this is assigned in your course. The explanations are fairly straight forward and examples are numerous throughout the book. If you follow this book there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't get an A in the course you are taking unless your teacher decides to digress to more advanced topics such as Organic Chemistry.

Perfect Condition!!!
Wow!! I was a little skeptical about buying a used textbook after some of the reviews I read but I am soo glad I did. I paid for expedited shipping and it seemed like the book still wasn't going to come in time, but it came within two days!! The book was in perfect condition. No highlighting or writing of any kind on the pages and it still smells new! The cover is flawless too! This book looks like it just came hot off the press!! The only thing I would mention is that it wasn't packaged very well it was just put in a box with a newspaper. If the package was been dented, the book would've been damaged. Fortunately for me, it wasn't! Very happy with my purchase!

Good buy, but it didn't come with the access code
The sale of this book was great. Easy purchase and easy delivery. Book was just like viewed in the ad. However, it was only after the first day of class that I learned that there should have been a CD or a slip with an access code for this book to be able to complete assignments online for the professor to review and grade. So make sure you check with your school to make sure that the access code is not needed.

It's a 3.5.
Questions are OK and they correlate with the content. Its nice to be able to find the answers and not have to dig deep or google em. I will use BOOKBYTE 123 again. I received the book fast after a crappy company-SuperBookDeals took forever, sent the wrong book, then wouldn't return my emails!I will use BOOKBYTE 123 first for all my college books (and they sent the book in box-not a thin bag).

Could be better
Purchased the book for gen. chemistry II. Of all the chemistry books I've used (4 so far), this author does an excellent job explaining the concepts and theories. He uses relatable real life examples that makes it easy to follow otherwise complex problems. I'm giving this book three stars because the problems at the end of the chapter are not complete. You often need extra information to solve the problems which is not provided nor any clues as to what information you may needed to solve the problems. So if you don't know what you are doing, you wont get much help from the book. It can gets very frustrating.

too simplistic
Good if you only want a cursory idea of the concepts outlined within -- it truly doesn't go into the physics of how things really work, more aimed at giving one a "working understanding" of how things are in chemistry. Would make it harder to go on to more advanced concepts in the future.
