Light doesn't hit your face - it lights the mirror. So, if you're going to use it be sure you have a light source that gives good coverage of your face - this lamp by itself, doesn't do the trick. Good makeup requires good light - this isn't it.

Excellent mirror. Solid and good quality.

The dimensions they give for the mirror aren't accurate. It's small and flimsy. Returned it.
