Neewer LED Ring Light (16" APP)

The media could not be loaded.  I really like this light. I have a podcast so this light is perfect for my behind the scenes video. It's a big enough to light my entire face fully and evenly so it makes my skin look nice. I love the remote. I was a little intimidated when I looked at it but it's really easy. I put together a video to review and to show how it works!

For the money, I really have no complaints. I just wish it was slightly brighter (but don’t worry, it still does the job). Also, there are really no instructions, especially for the app. Or even how to get it. Beyond all that, it’s really good.

Like many who shifted to more remote work, especially over the last year, I had been using large umbrella lights for my video-meetings-from-home needs. However, when shooting at home, umbrella lights can be awkward to set up and take up a lot of space. This Neewer 16-inch LED Ring Light allowed me to eliminate the bulky umbrella light while also provided perfect, easily customizable lighting for my face.There are several sizes available, but I got the 16-inch version because my main streaming camera is a Panasonic Lumix GH5, which is larger than a typical mobile phone. This version has 240 LED lights. In addition to the LED ring light, the package contained a sturdy floor stand, selfie remote (compatible with most iPhone, Samsung, Huawei and other android smartphone camera apps), hot shoe adapter, power adapter and plug, smartphone clamp, carry bag, and instruction manual. The actual LED ring light has an angle adjustment so that you can swivel the light front-to-back. Note that everything except the floor stand fits into the carry bag.While the ring light has a touch control interface, there is also a free smartphone app available that allows you to control the light remotely via Bluetooth. The controls allow you to adjust the light color temperature, from 3200K to 5600K, as well as the brightness, from 0% to 100%. You can also control multiple ring lights individually or altogether. The touch control interface on the ring light itself is a clear LCD panel that is fast and responsive.Overall, I was quite impressed with this ring light. The light and stand were higher quality than I was expecting for the price, and being able to turn on and control the light is so easy–I regret struggling with the umbrella lights for so long. But whether you are doing online meetings, making videos, streaming, or shooting potrait pics, the Neewer 16-inch LED Ring Light is a great solution.

Great bang for your buck! The tripod is strong, the light feels substantial and sturdy, along with the phone clip, which feels very secure when set into the ring light. The phone clip rotates and moves easily, and also can be secured very well in position. The light itself is bright and looks great-the phone clip is centered so the light is evenly distributed.The whole ring light is easily set up and broken down, and comes with a carrying case which is super handy.

New Review:I left the review below a few months ago. I purchased this light for myself in March for distance learning and loved it. I showed it to my dad, and he thought it was great. I bought it for him for his birthday, but it arrived without the wall plug part of the power cord. The power supply (with the black box) was there, but not the wall plug. There was an empty plastic bag in the box, so maybe the package was a return? That I don't have a problem with, as long as what I receive is in like-new condition. I have downgraded my review because shipping a product without a power cord is unacceptable. I have emailed Neewer and will update my rating when I hear back and have the problem fixed.Old Review:I used this as a teacher for distance learning. Worked great, and I got complimented on how good I looked on camera.Set up was super easy and I was able to use it daily without issue. Sometimes by Bluetooth wouldn’t connect, and I’d have to turn it on manually, but I think the problem was my phone and not the light. I would definitely purchase again.

Please see the attached pictures so may be you can help me to figured out how to turn the ring down (horizontally).Also, can you please send me a replacement for the broken piece?.I love the ring but I can not move it easy.Thank you in advance.

This is a good product and differs from same vendors other product offerings.This has device control od brightness and colour, some of their other products use supplied filters. seems a small item, but each different, not better unless that is what you want. So, buy if that is what you need, they have numerous other options. This met our need and does as stated.

This item doesn't swivel as advertised. I contacted the seller to let them know and to let them know how ticked I am that I spent this much money on something I now can't use for it's intended purpose because they lied in the advertising. They sent me an email asking if I wanted to discuss it more. What's left to discuss, the seller lied in his advertising and apparently he can't read either, but I'm sure it's just a stall tactic on their part so I wouldn't give a bad review!

I absolutely LOVE IT!!!! The actual ring is bigger than I expected it to be which is awesome! The height of the stand is adjustable and stays sturdy. It can be super tall or super short, whichever you prefer. The only thing that kinda bothers me is that 3200k isn’t as warm as I’d hoped (and pictures state it would be) since I also use it as a lamp now. Mom hates when I pass out with the lights on. Anywhooo, other than that, ITS AMAZING! 10/10 would recommend. Better than all the other ring lights out there. It’s worth it. You won’t be disappointed.

I use it five days a week for teaching from home and making supplementary videos for students. Never a single problem, I love it. It’s easy to move and adjust. The phone holder is fantastic too. It’s been my best “work from home” transition purchase.

Excellent! I use this for Zoom video conferencing primarily, second as my table lamp. It actually replaced the drafting lamp you see in the picture. Lights up the whole room with the powerful LEDs.
