Nice length and shape, simple and stylish. No problem at all with the installation. Likes the clean outline and looks great for my tub.

Made well and nice finish. I ordered a separate trim package from Kohler via a Kohler distributor.

This spout is bigger than I thought it would be, but it looks and operates nice.

Wow, this thing is an elephant trunk. I was aware of the dimensions when I ordered it, but it's something to behold once it lands on the doorstep.And that's the thing with Kohler -- some of their stuff is relatively run-of-the-mill, like their hollow, stainless spout I'm replacing (didn't match my chromed-out scheme, oops). It's almost a shame to have to permanently attach this spout to the wall, because never again will anybody using it be able to appreciate the sheer gravitas of the solid brass construction (save for the plastic aerator in the tip). It's quite the piece of art.Inside the back end are the options for a slip-fit onto a 1/2" copper pipe, or a more conventional threaded connection to I/2" brass. The slip fit connection provides quite a bit of installation leeway in determining the length of copper pipe protruding from the finished wall. The threaded connection provides a stronger connecting piece, with a little more headache in determining what length nipple to purchase, but preserves some flexibility in swapping out a different threaded connection down the road without tearing into the wall (though I think that's maybe an unlikely scenario?). Either connection should be fine; I went with threaded, but the slip fit would truly have been just fine for me if I hadn't already installed a threaded elbow.The threads, by the way, are not machined in to the spout. Instead, they're part of a bracket that is slid into the backside, and affixed at three points with screws. The bracket, and therefore the threads, can be rotated into three positions, meaning it's quite easy to ensure the threaded connection is tight enough and the spout is oriented correctly (sometimes you'll reach full tightness but the spigot will be pointing straight up, or off to the left).With the spout mounted, it's quite unique looking compared to your average Joe bath spout, but short of using it as a step to access an overhead storage compartment, I don't think its solid brass construction will every be appreciated by anyone other than those handling it prior to installation. And so goes the life of monumentally unappreciated bathroom fixture.
