Umbrella with case
Great Quality umbrella and I love the case that it comes with! If the umbrella is wet then the case will keep the umbrella from getting everything else wet. Sleek design! The shaft is strong and the ribs of the umbrella are really strong, we have had a lot of rain recently here in FL and this umbrella has worked great!

Well Built and Intelligently Designed
This is clearly well built and I expect it to last several years (assuming that I don't lose it, which is why I started looking for a new umbrella in the first place). To clarify as to the automated opening and closing, which I found confusing to read about, read this: To open the umbrella, take it out of the case, undo the clasp, and press the button. All of these steps are easy to complete and the umbrella will fully unfold, as many do. What makes this one unique is the automated closing. Pressing the button again will cause the arms of the umbrella to fold back up very suddenly. It will not retract the bundle of arms back towards the handle, as I was picturing from reading other reviews, and which would defy the laws of physics (ish). It is also notable that the suddenness with which the arms refold causes the umbrella to shake greatly for an instant. This does not cause any unpleasantness, but rather, combined with the hydrophobic (water-repelling) coating conveniently removes most all of the water from the canvas of the umbrella, making the waterproof case almost unnecessary. The only concern I have is that the coating will wear off overtime as many do, but I haven't had it long enough to tell. If it does, I will update this review. If you do not see an update, then you can assume that the umbrella has been working perfectly for as long as it as been since this was posted.

I may have gotten a defective one but the one I got was all kinds of messed up. The case is the only good part.
I returned it and sent in a bunch of photos to Amazon. they were great about it gave me a full refund. The review: -The arms must have been made from tin foil because the press fit joints were bowed out and the umbrella would wobble to the left and right when barely moving it in my hands.-The fabric of the umbrella was tied down to *almost* each arm, about half way down. The tie down threads on two of the arms were missing and it made the umbrella look like one side was the rim of a baseball cap.-The ends of each arm had a cap of what looked like brass, crimped around another knotted piece of thread. It looked like someone did it by hand with a pair of pliers.-The shaft must not have been machined to spec because one part would wobble inside the other. one must have been made a little too narrow or the larger one made too wide.-The worst part that I saw was that there was already some rust on the metal pieces of the frame. The fact that an object, with its intended use being in the rain, was already rusting before I even got to use was a pretty big sign that I was going to be wet and frustrated if I was going to date to use it.*****It said it was quality control approved on a sticker so, to me, that means it was inspected and met the "quality" standards of that company. You can take that whichever way you would like. Just don't say I didn't warn you.

A great umbrella combined with a commitment to good service.
I was well satisfied with this umbrella, having bought it over a year ago and having used it a lot. The case really clinches things -- it makes it convenient to have the umbrella at hand (in my carry tote) whenever the weather indicates rain. No worries after using the umbrella, just close it and put it into the leakproof case and back into my bag. Never a concern about getting my devices or paperwork wet. No looking for a convenient way to store or hold the wet, dripping umbrella on the train or bus so less possibility of leaving it behind. The case is tough/stiff so it slides in next to my laptop and nothing is under undue pressure.I added a hand strap (like those that come with pocket cameras) to the zipper mechanism area because the only quibble I have is that there's no carry loop, handle or strap. When, after all this time, mine showed signs of rust, the company stood by their guarantees and did a replacement.I've only praise, no complaints.

The umbrella itself works fine, although the durability is questionable
I got this umbrella mainly because it comes with a case so I can stuff it in my backpack while it's wet. The umbrella itself works fine, although the durability is questionable. I put it up against pretty strong winds one time and of course it reversed; ended up breaking one of the plastic hinges right off and bending half of the metal tension rods. Those rods are as weak as lead actually seems to bend out of place during calm and regular usage. Some of the metal is also rusting from the slight exposure to the rain when it got reversed due to winds.

Good product with excellent customer service.
Very prompt delivery and a courteous email from company before it was thanking for order and giving details if any problems. It's a strong sturdy product with a case to put in rather than flimsy cover that's hard to use. The umbrella is zipped away quickly to be dried later.Spokes all appear to be strong with a quick release button to open quickly.

Great umbrella. The case and umbrella are well made
YES! Great umbrella. The case and umbrella are well made. Need to give it a bit of a shove to close it, but apart from that, it's a great purchase.

Love the design, manufacture etc but have no idea what it is like in the rain as I haven't used it in anger yet. The way the umbrella 'pops' open will make a great emergency weapon too!! ;-)

Consigliatissimo
