SHIH-CHUAN Chilli Shrimp Sauce 240 g

I am working outside the UK, with a group of colleagues from various countries: Indonesia, Thailand, Libya, Egypt, Syria and Tunisia. We all bring a selection of spicy sauces and share at meal-times.This one is a particular favourite, especially with my Indonesian colleagues who are from various different parts of Indonesia. It is definitely hot but without burning your taste buds away. Only the Tunisian colleague does not love it - he prefers his somewhat milder harissa.The mix of flavours works really well, without being "too fishy".I would suggest to take just a little on the side of the plate until you are sure that you like both the flavour and the heat.With my colleagues (and myself) it is a definite hit, and I will be ordering some more as soon as I come back home for a break.

Difficult to taste any shrimp , although a few are visible .Fine as a pure chilli sauce.
