Berry good mixer!
This is the new version of the classic Kenwood food mixer. This comes with mixing attachment, dough hook and whisk which have all been used and proved to be very effective. There is a splash-guard to stop ingredients spilling out when the machine is switched on, which may occur when using flour; the guard works well and keeps my worktop clean. The whole mixer is very easy to use, very powerful and easy to clean out afterwards. You can get an optional liquidiser as an add-on with this, and that worked very well. It's not overly loud and blends food down to liquids very easily, be that fruits for smoothies, or chunkier vegetables such as potato and leek chunks for making soups. It is robust but is rather heavy so needs to be permanently placed where it is to be used. The build quality is excellent and it's got a nice polished finish to it.As this is Mary Berry endorsed, it came with a free Mary Berry recipe book which contains a nice collection of baking recipes. I especially liked the choice of cakes! It's easy to read, easy to follow and colourful, with lots of fun ideas. This is a pretty pricey item, but it has lasting value due to excellent build quality and usability, and if used regularly will be well worth the cost.

Very pleased
I’m really delighted with this new mixer. I inherited an old one (1970s) from my mother which I use a lot, for both cakes and bread, but I particularly wanted the creaming beater (to get air bubbles out of buttercream) and that tool doesn’t fit the old style chef. Also the newer whisk shape picks up the bowl contents better.I did a lot of research (including Kitchen Aids and newer models of Kenwood chef) before choosing this one.I chose Kenwood, because I wasn’t convinced Kitchen Aids are up to the job with heavier bread doughs. My kitchen counter height didn’t allow for anything too tall and some reviews of the latest Kenwoods didn’t impress, or justify the price being nearly double this one.I do have to buy the creaming beater separately, but that’s a comparatively small extra cost.I’m delighted with it - very similar to my old chef but newer and nicer. At first I thought there wasn’t a K- beater included but I found it eventually in the back of the polystyrene packaging - nearly threw that out!!I wasn’t expecting the bonus of a Mary Berry baking book, as some previous reviewers said it wasn’t included, so it was an extra bonus to find it. It looks great - a proper hardback book beautifully photographed. The colour of the machine is as per the product photos, NOT like the photos of Mary Berry next to one which looks cream. Those photos must have been brightened as the colour is a sort of greyish-ivory. Very like the photos on Amazon, but not the ones with Mary. It’s quieter than my old Kenwood chef and I’m expecting great things from it. I will update this review after using it for a while if there is anything to add

Great Mixer
We’ve always been a family who liked to bake but found something’s difficult just mixing by hand. This has elevated home cooking to another level. This is a great machine. It feels well made and sturdy. It come apart easily for cleaning and the accessories are easy to use to fairly self explanatory. I haves used a family members Kenwood Chef that is years old and this is definitely a step up. It’s good and powerful and does well with bread and pizza dough. All in all I’m glad we’ve got it. It’s not exactly cheap but after 2 weeks I’m sure it’s money well spent

Fantastic mixer, be careful of the cord storage!
This is a fantastic mixer, as expected. I've wanted a Kenwood Chef for decades and it isn't a disappointment after making a few cakes and loaves with it.However... the extra mixing attachments (folder, beater) are horrendously expensive given that they are made from soft plastic! I expected them to be alloy. Also, be careful about coiling the mains lead in to the storage compartment. I've only done it a few times and last time I tried to get it out again, the lead had twisted itself into a knot inside the compartment and the slim slot is too narrow to let it out. Took twenty minutes with screwdriver to get the cord back out again before I could use the mixer. Poor design... should have made the slot a bit wider or used an actual cord winder instead of just a space it can be manually stuffed into. Had to drop an ease of use start for that.

Just as good as they’ve always been.
I bought the Mary Berry Chef Elite as a birthday present for my wife and she is delighted with it. I knew the Kenwood Chef well from my time in electrical retailing back in the 1980s and was concerned that the quality might have dropped but needn’t have worried. It is still sturdily made and just slightly updated in style and colour. It comes complete with whisk, dough hook and beater so it does everything that my wife wanted. She already had a Kenwood processor so doesn’t need the other attachments at the moment but the full range is available but a bit pricey. Our friends are pleased because we are supplying them with some lovely cakes and biscuits all made from recipes in the Mary Berry cookbook supplied with the mixer. (Bread is next on the agenda).A great purchase at a very good price.

Faulty item - bought on Black Friday but motor did not work and now it is priced £130 higher
I cannot rate this mixer as mine did not work on arrival. Unfortunately, Amazon only offered me a refund for returning the item, and not a replacement. I bought this in a Black Friday sale for £289.99. If I want a replacement it would be £419.99, and so I will do without a mixer. It is a shame that I have to deal directly with Amazon, and yet they claim to be constrained as the item is from a third party seller. It is Amazon who control the purchase and return, and I feel let down to have received a faulty item.

Reliable Classic
I love using this. Anything I've mixed has been evenly done and effortless. Easy to clean. The bowl is lightweight but very sturdy.

Order and delivery prompt only disappointed recipe book was NOT in packaging as advertised.
A very good stand mixer to use, large mixing bowl you can easily make double recipe enabling you to stock up freezer too. No problems with mixer as Kenwood is a trusted and reliable brand. I was disappointed that mary berry recipe book was NOT included in packaging as stated on outside of box.
