Was straight, but male thread is way too big for shallow blind holes.
Mine looked nice with machined surfaces like the picture, but the male thread is huge. This means if you have a blind hole and can't run the tap very deep, you won't even be able to get the fitting started in the hole. I ground my cheap tap a few 1/16's at a time and retapped, but only got half a turn in. Would be nice if they had these available with the male thread diameter reduced for blind holes. Only option would be to reduce the thread on a cnc lathe to maintain taper. Wishing I tapped hole with straight thread at this point.

I purchased these to adapt a 1/2" quick disconnect to a 3/4" ball valve. I'm very impressed with the quality of the part. I hadn't noticed that they came packaged as two and accidentally ordered two ending up with 4 bushings. In the end, I realized I didn't even need one since I already had one stashed away somewhere. I'm in the process of having them returned and having my purchase refunded. The seller has been very cordial and accommodating.
