I bought UnicornTech desk lamp it as a night reading lamp and also clip this lamp toit to the side of my desk to use whendesk when I am studying on my laptop at night. I got it in August 2015, and now one month later, all of it works well. It is smaller than I thought, but the light is enough for night reading. Here are some of my feelings after use: The material of gooseneck tube is very soft, can be twisted in to many different shape as you like. The gooseneck tube is extremely versatile that can be twisted in many different directions and angles I need. The bottom of the lamp is a big clip; you can clip it on your desk, bed frame, bookshelves even your laptop. And it can also stand-alone balanced because of a non-slip mat is on the base. the clip opens widely enough to attach to a shelf, table, or bed frame. It is also well balanced to stand alone on the table because it has a rubberized slip proof pad on the base. The switch of this lamp is not a mechanical switch at all; you can use the sense-touch control allows you to control switch the light level as well as turn it on/off off or on. The light level control is very easy to use. It has three brightness levels; low, medium, and high. The light level control is very easy to use, you just need to tap the lamp bottom where have a square ,tap once to low, twice to medium, three times to high and the fourth to turn it off. to change from off to low, medium, high, and off again. The lamp gives off a soft and white light (not blue or yellow like some LED's are), and it doesn't have any flashlight, so it does not hurt eyes. It rechargeable by USB,This lamp is a green product, it recharged by USB instead of the battery. The cord is long enough to plug into a wall socket, but I usually charge it with my laptop because this product don’t include USB plug. The light up long enough on one charge, although I have not timed it how long it can stay on. The lamp lightweight only 4.2 ounces and very portable, it is also a good choice to buy it as a camping light. The cheapest LED light in the same good of other brands.Overall, it is a lovely desk lamp for my purposes. Good quality and cheap price, I recommend it to everyone who want a night reading lamp.

AS far as i'm concerned, this product is perfect for my needs. After reading the reviews of this kind of reading light I was skeptical of purchasing one at all ,luckily I read this lights review. Everyone loved it, and they were right . I use it for my keyboard, I work at night in the dark as to not wake my family up I was going to buy a lighted keyboard,but I decided to not pay the extra $40.00 . I chose instead to by a regular keyboard and buy a cheap desk light, when I found this light I bought it, and it turned out to be perfect, a lot of light or a little, 3 settings, sometimes I aim it at the wall to see the clock 10 feet away, no problem seeing that, I can clip it anywhere ,and I do. It's nice looking ,just the right size too. ...I recommend this quality light to everyone who needs extra light ,I use my computer to charge the battery,it comes with a USB cable for that purpose, VERY good price for a quality portable light ...THANK YOU UNICORN TECH...I GIVE THIS PRODUCT THE MAXIMUM ,5 STARS

Wow. I have been using this little lamp for about a year and a half, now, with no problems. Most of the time, I keep the usb cable plugged into an Anker 40W multi-port charging station I Command-strip-stuck underneath the edge of my desk, and I clip the lamp to a shelf above. The light is bright enough at maximum to allow me to read on top of my desk, and when I need to do reading more on the slide-out tray of my desk, I re-clip the lamp to the main table of the desk. It has a low setting that I like when I need just a tad of light in an otherwise dark environment. I really like that I can easily turn the light away from my face so the light isn't shining directly into my eyes, or reposition the center of the beam to either side of my desk as needed. I also like that I can unhook it from the cable and take it with me to other places where I want to read for a while. And that I don't have to flip a switch, but can merely tap it to turn it on. The only failing I've encountered thus far is when trying to clip to larger-sized things, say, 2.5-inches and larger, the gripping power isn't great. But they did add to the underside of the clip three smaller rectangles of the same lightly rubbery grippy pad material found on the base of the clip to help it grab, so that helps, but ultimately, it depends on the material you're clipping it to. All in all, a great little workhorse of a lamp at a good price.

Update 6/2018. I know I've had this a year but hardly used it. I had put it to the side and forgot I had it. It worked great for a short time and now is broken. It charges, but won't turn on. The clip is very strong and I love the flexible arm, but really disappointed it no longer works seeing I had hardly used it but a few times.

The lamp is very good. The lighting is easy on the eyes and has 3 settings. The lamp can clamp on or stand alone and the gooseneck is very flexible. The only complaint is the short life of a battery charge. It charges quickly however and this is not too much of a problem so far. I would recommend buying two lamps as I did so that one can be fully charged as a standby. The appearance is very nice also.
