This is one of those tools that I didn't realize I needed until I owned one.For simple tasks like hanging a single picture, a traditional spirit level is often quicker and easier. Where a laser level really shines is when you're trying to keep multiple items aligned or work across longer distances.I've used this for everything from hanging groups of picture frames to installing lumber storage racks in my workshop. When mounting hardware several feet apart, trying to manage a long level can get awkward in a hurry. Being able to project a straight reference line across the entire wall makes those projects much simpler.What I like:* easy to use* self-leveling feature works well* great for longer distances* compact and easy to store* useful for a wide variety of projects* excellent value for the moneyOne unexpected use was leveling the reticle in a rifle scope. By setting the laser on a table and projecting a level reference line, I was able to verify the scope's crosshairs during installation. It's certainly not the primary purpose of the tool, but it's a good example of how often a laser level ends up being useful in ways you didn't originally anticipate.That's probably the biggest takeaway from owning one. You buy it for a specific project, then find yourself reaching for it again and again for completely unrelated tasks.My only real regret is trying to save money by skipping the tripod bundle. I thought I could get by using a phone tripod we already had around the house, but it wasn't an ideal solution. If I were buying again, I'd spend a little extra and get the version that includes the proper tripod from the start.The price has dropped quite a bit since I purchased mine, which makes it an even better value today. For occasional DIY projects, workshop tasks, home improvement jobs, and all the random situations where a perfectly level reference line comes in handy, it's well worth having around.Sometimes the best tools aren't the ones you use every day—they're the ones that keep solving problems you didn't know you were going to have.

I purchased this laser level for a shower/bathroom remodel. Although I'm halfway through the project - I wish I would have purchased this at the beginning. Saving me so much time and is so much faster and accurate. Very happy with it's self-leveling function and cross line laser. It's small, lightweight and even came with a little case for protection while storing. Easy to use, right out of the box. Simple, functional, and don't have to be a mathematician to figure it out. Win-win. I already have another project lined up after finishing this current project-from-hades and going to put this to full use.

So useful and so cheap! It worked like a charm to help me put up my wainscoting molding level. I was a slow worker (because of the cyphering lol and trying to be methodical) so it took me hours and the battery never ran out! It’s small, lightweight, just a hand held count. Easy to set it or prop it up anywhere. Very visible and bright red light. Highly recommend. Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 bc I had a harder time projected a horizontal line way up near the crown molding. Figured it out thought by elevating it more and more. It didn’t wobble when placing it various ways, it’s inherently stable. Will definitely use for future projects. So easy and simple! Video shows the lights in wall and the pic shows progress but I’m not finished! Have to finish caulking and painting. Home stretch!

The level is so easy to use. It feels very durable as well. But ohhhh my gosh you guys it comes with batteries. I can’t even tell you how big I smiled. It actually made my day because companies just don’t do stuff like that anymore. How convenient, I was able to immediately put up the scallop trim in my daughter’s playroom. As a 2 under 2 mom, my time is so valuable and it was just such a nice warm feeling I got that the company included the batteries. Yes, it is that serious.

This one's a mixed bag for me, it does the job but not without some annoyances. The self-leveling works fine most of the time, but every now and then it takes a second to settle and I catch myself waiting around for it to stop drifting. Line visibility is decent indoors but honestly kind of a struggle in any room with more natural light, I basically have to dim things or use it in shade to see it clearly. Battery life seems average, nothing impressive but nothing terrible either. It's a functional tool for basic projects, just don't expect anything super precise or premium feeling for the price.

Worked great for leveling multiple floating shelves on the same wall. Seems fairly durable it was set up about 15ft from the wall and the red line was very clear and crisp. Just make sure you have a sturdy full size camera tri pod so you don't get and Lazer bounce

Tripod is too short for most applications. The level does not allow tilting up to higher points on the wall. It must be level in 3D space, not just horizontal space like hanging something evenly. The level HAS to be directly across from that space vertically…and the tripod is <2’ tall. So if you want to hang things at knee height this works, anything above that it won’t work.
