Fantastic image quality, portable size.
I was looking for a lens that was flexible for walking around/travelling. After a lot of investigation, I decided to opt for this lens from Sony.It sits perfectly and comfortably on my sony APSC camera, an easy choice for walking around. The 16-55mm focal length makes it roughly equivalent to a 24-70mm on a full-frame camera (24-82.5mm to be exact), however the lens is smaller and lighter (and much cheaper) due to being aimed at APSC bodies. The image quality is fantastic, really happy with the results I have been getting and it has a useful focal range for not only photos but a great range for video as well. The lens has a button on it you can assign a custom operation to (I currently have it assigned to eye auto-focus).The only negative for me, is the lack of stabilisation on the lens. If it had that I would have given it 5 stars across the board, its really the only thing missing for me. Otherwise its the perfect walk-around, travel, photo and video lens for me.

Edge-to-Edge Sharp image.
Image quality is excellent on Sony APS-C cameras. There is no OSS (In lens image stabilisation), but that's not really an issue for photography or if you are using a camera body with IBIS (in camera stabilisation). The image is shape edge-to-edge, and clean even at f2.8. There is little to complain about for the price, or the form factor. There are better lenses on the market, but you would need to pay twice as much for a marginal improvement in image quality.Auto focus is fast, very fast, almost instant most of the time. However, manual focus is not that good. The focus ring is not actually attached to anything, it simply instructs the motor to focus based on your input. Which means there is a slight delay when using manual focus. Also the feeling of manual focus is weird. This lens is manual zoom only, which is annoying. But zoom is very controllable, and the feel of the zoom ring is good.If you are planning to put this Len on an a6000 series camera, you'll love it. However, do not put this on a a7 or a9 series camera as it designed for the smaller APS-C sensor and doesn't work with full frame sensors. If you are planning to use this lens on a gimbal such as the Ronin SC with an a6000 camera, be prepared to buy 150g of counter weights, and bracket to put them on and a raiser. Otherwise you simply won't be able to balance the lens on the gimbal. However balancing is not an issue in the Ronin S or Ronin RS.

Amazing lens
This is an amazing lens the only thing to add there was an issue with the cashback offer so I wasn't able to get 100 pounds off the product

Great lens but the price
This is a wonderful lens and (depending on your photography style) might be the only one you actually need. So, it could save you money in the long term. Two things against it.1. The price, it’s very expensive; especially as it doesn’t have OSS2. It’s build for APS-C cameras. So, if you plan to move to full frame, don’t buy it as it won’t be useful on a full frame camera.

Tack sharp
Tack sharp on my A6500, still looks big against the size of the body. Good all round lens for a Sony crop sensor body.

Lumpy
My only fault with this lens while zooming in it has an area that sticks as other reviewers mentioned being a professional photographer is annoying a zoom should be smooth all the way through I never used this lens for movies and this would be devastating to zoom into a subject only to have a glitch or a jump in your scene I would not recommend this lens

Used with Sony FS5 delivers very sharp results

Save your money.
Not wide enough angle for my liking. Infact my Canon seemed a wider angle at the same range. Over priced as Sony always is, and not as good. Shame.
