I decided that I wanted to try hand-polishing some of my cheap stamped knives as a learning exercise. I needed a wide assortment of sandpaper, from rough to very fine, but I didn't want to buy several large sheets as I really didn't need that much. This kit had just the variety that I needed.The sanding block is decent. While it does not grip the sandpaper as tight as the budget 3M block does, it doesn't seem to slip out easily - though time will tell if the block loosens up.The paper is also not quite as premium as 3M's paper, but I find it to be fantastic for the price. I have no problem using water with this paper.While this can be used on metal, you will run through the paper pretty quickly - but the results will be good.In the attached image, you can see two knives from a set - the bottom has lots of machining marks, etc - while the top has been polished to a near mirror shine.If you have a small DIY project that requires sanding, this could be a great option.

There is absolutely nothing special about this sandpaper block set, but it’s made incredibly well. The sandpaper is also really great. I’ve been using the same piece for a month now, and I still don’t need to change it. I use mine for sanding paintings, wood, ceramic and art supplies like colored pencils and hard pastels. The range of grit they give you is large, and you can absolutely find what you need in this bundle.The block fits beautifully in my hand (I’m female) and reduces stress on my hand and arm. I do not feel like it will slip from my hand, and I always maintain control. It also holds the sandpaper firmly to the surface sponge.I highly recommend this set, and save the extra set of sandpaper in your cart for when you need them later down the road.

*UPDATED: The company reached out with concern regarding my opinion of the product and was very friendly and accomodating, and in fact even offered me a replacement at no cost, to which I kindly declined. Their customer service is very good, to say the least. Not often do you have businesses reach out with concern over your feelings about the product. Especially over something as simple as sandpaper. Because of this they have received an additional star. When I need more I'll be back, and I hope to see that sanding block a bit heavier with a bit of a reworked grip for the paper. Overall though, great product for the money.The sanding block is almost complete junk, and does not work at all for wetsanding. Good price, and good sandpaper but poor quality block leaves me a bit annoyed.

i just finished painting my kitchen cabinets. at the beginning of this long and tedious project, i was using the block sanding sponge things. i’m good with using these on smaller projects but they were not a good fit for cabinets. so i ordered this sandpaper kit dealy and i wish i had started from the beginning with it. it’s sturdy yet lightweight, easy to use, and comes with every grit sandpaper one could need. i DID however notice the sandpaper sheets provided wore out much sooner than the 3M ones i bought from home depot. but i liked to have so many grit options to choose from to see what i would need again or never need again.this is totally worth the price and super handy to have!!

The product is great and a wonderful purchase. It locks down tight and the sand paper itself is of an excellent quality. I have NO complaints. The one noticeable fact of the product is the metal is very soft... it is easily bent and if 'mishandled' could break or bend. I recommend this product for the bargain price it sells for.

The sandpaper grip it is very strong and easy to use. The paper some selves or a superior value and function very well. It is a good value, a very good value.

This paper, the backing is SO thin and cheap, it's basically useless. It rips, every sheet, within minutes of trying to use. The block itself is also incredibly cheap feeling, thin plastic. I mean, I gave it TWO stars because yeah, it WAS cheap, but I was still expecting somewhat more than THIS somehow.

Purchased a while ago to wet sand my truck as I painted it. They work great and hold up a very long time when used properly and wet. I haven’t used them dry. The sanding block is great as well. Recommend this to anyone needing this type of setup.

This item is well priced, for 20$ you’re getting a good amount of sand paper.My issue is with the block. At a first glance it appears to be decent quality, but it’s not flat.Even when applying with no downward pressure, it’s not sanding my piece properly.If this block came with 80grit paper, I would understand. But something that comes with super fine grit is obviously supposed to be for precision work.I’m trying to sand my clear coat and it’s sanding it unevenly. I need to completely sand off the finish now ans start from scratch. I won’t be using the block again for this type of work.

Gets jammed up pretty easy but it did the job.
