The Jewish Cookbook

The recipes here are truly excellent - and I have many Jewish cookery books. Simple to make, with easily accessible ingredients, each one I have tried worked. The only reason for four stars is that the typeface is stodgy and there are too few illustrations, also in this day and age, they should look far more appetizing than they do. However, this is an encyclopaedic tome, well worth its place on any cookery shelf, and unlike many of the current offerings on Middle Eastern food, it will not date.

Good variety of vegetarian and meat-based recipes. Being a pescatarian I was a little hesitant but these worries were unfounded. This book is truly excellent, covering many Jewish traditions. I cannot recommend it enough. Try the Lemon Drizzle Cake!!

After a recent vacation in Isreal I was looking for new cooking inspirations and Leah's Jewish Cookbook was a perfect choice. It takes you for a journey around the world. I found many dishes that I remember from my Motherland, Poland and dishes that I know from other countries and craved cooking and eating them! Thank you for such an amazing collection of recipes and stories Leah!

Beautiful book. Real proper tome. Everything we've tried so far has come out perfectly.

Very good

Lots of recipes and in quite of a variety as well (with many regional customary dishes too); which makes it 400+ pages. Some are basics but still amazing. My only sadness is that it often has only text without pictures which would add a lot. Now it’s 400+ pages already — with even many having more than one recipes on it — so I’m not complaining just complaining.
