Samsung Book Cover Keyboard for Galaxy Tab S5E Black

Excellent product. Expensive however a good choice. Connected immediately no problems. Very pleased.

I was extremely disappointed when this product arrived to discover it is a US keyboard - there's a sticker on the packaging to say that - which makes it quite a challenge to use with your S5e when set to UK English. While I won't blame the vendor as the product description doesn't explicitly say which language version it is, you tend to assume it's UK being on the Amazon UK site and with a photo that clearly shows a pound sign (£) on the top row. That';s not what appears on the actual product as you can see in the photo I've included here. Not only the £ sing but also @ and # don;t appear where you expect them. If you use US English, though, you'll be fine.For reference, the product code for this is EJ-FT720UBEGWW. I don't know which market it's intended for, but it's not the UK! According to the Samsung UK website, the product code for a UK language keyboard is EJ-FT720BBEGGB. So I'm returning the one I have to Amazon and receiving a refund. I've bought the UK version directly from Samsung (it's the same price here and there although Amazon definitely has the edge on quicker delivery time).It's a delightful product, well built and very easy to use, hence my 4- and 5-star features ratings. And using it with Samsung DeX on the S5e is delightful. But so disappointing about the non-UK language version offered in this Amazon listing.

Although I think it is pricey and be tedious when trying to type on the keyboard its still worth purchasing in the long run.

The keyboard does exactly what you'd expect and is pretty lightweight. Not happy that one of the corners of the material has started to crack/wrip where the material folds. For such a pricey case this should not be happening especially as this tablet doesn't even leave my house so, I can imagine if this would go into bags etc it would wear even quicker.

This official Samsung keyboard cover is a whole lot more expensive than 3rd-party alternatives, but the expense is probably justified if you use a keyboard a lot. The keys are positive in action, and it's possible to type at a reasonable speed -- but probably not as fast as on a full-size keyboard. It's sturdy, and seems to offer decent protection. It attaches to the S5E using magnets, so it's very easy to fit and remove -- but don't try to pick up the keyboard casually whilst the S5E is attached: it will come flying off.The keyboard needs no separate power supply -- it is powered from the tablet using the little metal contacts on the side. This makes it specific to at most a small range of Samsung tablets, but that isn't really a disadvantage.It's not all good news, however -- the keyboard has certain oddities.- Some symbols appear more than once on the keyboard- There is a key labelled 'Lang' whose function is completely obscure to me- There is no escape key. Not a problem for Android, necessarily, but it's a nuisance if you log into other computers. Given that there are redundant keys, I can't help thinking that an escape key could have been squeezed in- Some functions are present, but not labelled. So, for example, you can get a 'page up' action using ctrl+up. But with no documentation, it's complete guesswork- There's a rather limited range of non-English characters. There are vowels with acute accents, but no graves or umlauts. Why? What is the logic for this particular selection?- Most importantly -- a keyboard of this price really ought to have a backlight. Some much cheaper keyboards do.There are many other problems that stem from the fact that Android was never really designed to work with a keyboard. For best efficiency, you need a mouse as well. This is not the fault of this keyboard, of course.

I’m a palliative care nurse practitioner and I go to patients’ homes. I was provided with a Samsung tablet to document on but the original case and keyboard required a table to flip open and stand up. Many times I need to use my lap and so it was difficult to document and be attentive to my patients. I was also hard to clean and bulky. This solves everything! It is sleek and easy to sanitize before each visit and the free package of electronic sani-wipes were so thoughtful! The case is durable and allows me to use the tablet as a laptop without a table underneath. I’m so happy with this product and it came just in time for Nurses’ Week!!!

En realidad el producto cumple su función hasta cierto punto. Esperaba otros aspectos que le darían las 5 estrellas. Por ejemplo al cerrar la cubierta no apaga o enciende la pantalla, es algo que otras fundas con un costo más bajo hacen. Y las teclas se sienten un tanto rígidas. Todo lo demás esta bien, pero no cumple todas mis expectativas..

Dieses Keyboard macht das Schreiben leichter und funktioniert wunderbar. Ich habe es für mein Samsung Galaxy Tab S5egekauft und bin sehr zufrieden.

Perfecto. Protege la tablet y funciona muy bien. Sólo un pero, cuando la conexion falla por mover la tablet, los PDF se cuelgan, pero basta con cerrar la aplicación y volver a abrir...
