Hat Saver Spray - Prevent Sweat Stains

Ok, first off this stuff does work. The problem is you do have to coat the inside of the hat. It has not hurt me in the slightest. I have been using this stuff for years now. I work in a warehouse and wear a hat to work everyday. It gets very hot and we all sweat a lot here. My suggestion is to coat the inside and outside of the hat very well. I mean cover the hat until it is soaked. The coating will last a good 6 months to a year depending on use. For me, about 6 months. The problem with this stuff is you won't know if the product coating has diminished until it is too late and your hat is now covered in stains. Do not even think about washing your hat or using anything to get the stains back out. This stuff is water repellent. It will block anything you apply to it. I usually buy cheap hats as my work environment is not pretty.A tip to the super sweaters. Grab a paper towel, fold it over a few times, and put it inside the front of your hat. It will help you a ton. Swap it out if you are sweating too much.

Let's be honest. You and I both know the difficulty in noticing differences of product damage prevention over time. Mainly during the first few days of use. But we know that only time will tell if the product delivers as promised and/or is worthy of confirming it's advertising. So far, I don't have any sweat stains in a little less than 2 months, but I do feel confident that it is working. I'm one of the people that really needs this since I physically push myself to great lengths. I don't have any stains so far, but I will make an update if this product fails to deliver. But as of right now, I feel confident in my purchase.EDITNow that I had this for a long time, I can honestly say that it does prevents sweat stains. Not by much as you think, it's a little lacking honestly. If you really value your hat, it's still worth considering. I hear water and fabric softener in a bowl is all you need on a budget. I'm still satisfied with the purchase, just a little disappointed.

I sweat alot and all my hats were ruined after using them once. I sprayed this on a new hat and went on an all day hiking, kayaking trip and my hat was fine. I even jumped into the river and swam wearing my hat and it was fine.The ultimate test was after I completed a 26 bike ride on a hot sunny day. Although I was sweating alot, none of the sweat was absorbed by the hat.This is a great product and it works as advertised. However, the price is too high. I found out the VANS shoe spray has the same effect, for half the cost.

So far I have used two cans and my hats look great. I used it on several different materials and they look perfect. I usually ruin hats within a couple days of wearing them in Texas heat, this stuff does everything it says. I work outdoors and have wore this camo under armor hat almost everyday for two months. I sprayed it one time and has slightly white sweat marks in some of the stitching but other than that it looks great. The red Rangers hat I sprayed one time, then golfed four times in Austin Texas summer heat and humidity. The hat looks like it just came off the store shelf. Even if you barely sweat this stuff is worth it.

Hot Garbage is what this product is.It advertised a 13 ounce can, but after ordering, I was only shipped a 5 ounce can. And it didn't work at all. I ended up just buying scotch Guard and using that on my hats. Scotch Guard actually works and all my hats look brand new after months in the AZ Heat.

It's a pretty small can, but it works if you follow the directions. It's smaller than a standard can of spray paint. I would suggest spraying the bill of ball caps as well if you sweat a lot. I spray all the way around the hat. I wear my Tommy Bahama hats (expensive) when we walk several miles each day. Without this spray I couldn't wear them without ruining them. About the last 1/4 of the can it started leaking out of the cap all over the place. I'll try it again, but if it leaks again I wouldn't recommend it.

This product is amazing! I really was not expecting this to actually keep sweat from ruining a hat, but after many rounds of golf in the Texas heat the hat shows no sign of sweat damage. Any and all staining was on top of the product once applied (dirty ring on inside band of the hat) and was easily washed away with a brush and dish soap. The hat I used is a bright white hat which would show any sweat or stains easily, but once I washed it, dried it there was very little evidence it was every used.I did reapply the product once I cleaned the inside band of dirt, and truly expect this white hat to last through the hot Texas summer!Highly recommend this product.

Great product. So far it has protected my husband's straw hat well from sweat stains. Will see how it does throughout the hot Texas summer.September update: My husband's hat has no sweat or water stains after wearing in extreme heat and rain. Only treated it once. So much better than buying a new hat each season.
