Mirror looks better than stock - Both cameras clear!
We purchased this rearview mirror backup camera for a 2014 Ford F150 work truck. The touchscreen mirror with front facing camera is very high quality. I was really surprised at how many options you have on the touch screen. Here are some of my favorites: displays time and date, displays MPH (speed), you can swipe right and it changes from back to front camera, on either camera if you swipe up or down you can adjust the angle of the camera view. I was also surprised at how well the mirror works when the camera is off, although I normaly leave the rear camera on most of the time and can see everything behind me, then if I put the truck in reverse the parking lines are displayed. Overall I am very impressed with this setup, so much so that I'm thinking of buying one for my wifes personal car. The only thing I wish was a little nicer, is the rear camera. Although the picture quality is good, the size of the camera and the way it mounts leave something to desire. A license plate frame camera would look cleaner. I'd even pay more to switch to a frame camera, but this set up uses a proprietary plug, not a RCA setup like most other cameras. We where however able to do a custom install for the f150 that looks nice. (But not everyone has a workshop avalible to them for fabrication) Again over all I'd still give it 5 stars!

Updated... Happy to crappy in four months.
A little bit of vibration and the mirror vibrates so bad you can't see through it. It seems to be the way it is attached to the windshield bracket. If I was going to purchase again, I'd buy the one that strapped on to the existing mirror. The whole mount appears to be an afterthought, like someone repackaged an existing product with an additional mounting bracket. The camera and view screen work really well, which is sad because the whole point of this thing was to replace my mirror with a great camera. I added a great camera system but lost my mirror functionality.Update: Four stars to one in four months. The mirror is only four months old and it is starting to malfunction. It acts like someone is touching the touch screen display all the time. It won't stay in sleep mode more than a few seconds and then bounces from a forward to reverse facing image every few seconds. It flashes all the time and you can't even use it as a mirror at night anymore. I am very frustrated with this product and I wish I'd never bought it.

Does what's advertised. Good value for the features.
The mirror is a great combination of features. The video is not top quality but is quite adequate. The GPS info might prove invaluable in an insurance case. The OEM like mounting give it a built-in look, unlike the clip-on types. The user interface is not very good but you can do the normal things once you get the hang of it. The manual is not very good. Especially the installation part. It does not include an SD card or the puck that glues to the window. However, these are available from most autoparts stores. Spend the extra couple bucks and get the metal one. The plastic WILL fail.

Good but not perfect
So, yes I like this mirror cam. On the surface, it’s a nice unit. Installation is fairly easy in most cases, although that will depend on the vehicle it’s installed in. Mine was a 2002 Ford F-150 extended cab. The supplied mirror bracket fit the windshield mount with no modification necessary. I do, however, have issues with the cameras themselves, especially the rear. Bright lights in the rear camera seem to have two detrimental effects on the lcd mirror screen.1) light “bloom”. Bright lights appear as massive blobs of light, especially at night. I’ve tried a couple different mounting locations, one inside the cab and one mounted outside just under the third brake light (that light has absolutely no effect on the camera, it only seems to come from lights directly visible in the camera) and nothing seems to clear it up.2) brighter outside light levels tends to wash out colors and details all togetherI’ve messed with the settings as much as I can and there is little effect, however I can live with these limitations as they are. There is one other issue that I do not seem to be able to solve and that has to do with the dvr portion of the system. I got one good 30+ hour recording session with a 4gb sd card and now I can not get the recorder to work at all, even after reformatting the card. As my primary purpose for buying this set up was to test its functionality as a way to improve rear view visibility in our Rogue and CX-5 small crossovers, the recorder functions aren’t that important, but I’d still like to have full functionality. All in all, not bad for what I’m looking for, but if you are looking for a good dash or rear view dvr camera, you might want to look elsewhere

The good and not so good
I was looking for the following criteria for a rear view mirror with dash cam a) Dash cam, of course b) Reverse camera c) Able to replace existing rear view mirror (ie not attach with rubber straps over old mirror)So dash cam, menu and picture quality are great. Reverse camera is great, though due to type of car the camera had to be mounted quite low. Unfortunately the last criteria the unit does not perform well at all. First the mount provided was not universal enough to include fitting a Subaru. So this meant purchasing an adapter. Once received and installed the whole unit vibrates and bounces to every bump in the road. I believe this is due to the adapter not being tight enough and the pivot, which attaches the mirror to the stem is much weaker than the original mirror thus causing the mirror to vibrate more.

Time setting conflict
Very good product but the instruction data is very poor.oi have found it impossible to set the local time correctly because of what appears to be a conflict between GMT settingclearly time and place are both vital for a dash cam. the GPS function is fine but the time is clearly a problem,
