ugoe Ultrabright Bike Light, Tb05-01,Water Resistentheadlight, Compatible with All Bike Types Li-ion Battery Pack

I thought about not writing this review, but people should know my experience...Pros:-The product arrived on time. Actually a day early.-Good design.-Feels rugged and durable.-Compact and low profile.Cons:-It wouldn't turn on (broken). Kind of a huge "con" here because I wasn't able to use the product for it's true intents.My personal experience:I followed the instructions to get it charged up, and it wouldn't charge. The instructions tell you that when the charger turns green, it's ready to use. Well, the charger light itself turned green when I had the charger near an outlet. You read that right. I didn't even plug it into my computer or my wall out (via a wall wart), and the charger showed four green bars! Odd...Anyway... I happen to know a little bit about electronics and I'm nearly certain the battery and charger are fine. I suspect the headlamp itself is defective. I didn't probe around too much (don't want to void any return options I may have) as now I have to go through the lengthy process of returning it, and "maybe" buying another one to see if it'll work this time. I really don't know if I'll bother though as the return process is frustrating with this part of the process. I had to click around my order to figure out where I could send a message to the folks at Ugoe. Instead, the recommendations given to me was to return it, get my refund after they receive it, then decide if I want to risk buying one of these again.Most of my "return experience" on Amazon have been simpler. I believe that it is more convenient to offer the consumer the option of getting a replacement sent out to them quickly, and send them a return box to send the original/defective unit back (you could get away with a padded plastic envelope with this item, as long as you use the original packaging).Now, if I were to decide to go with this light for my bike, I'm adding another week unless I spend even more money to have it expressed to me, now. "Then" I run the risk of it not working again... Decisions, decisions. :)At this point, I can't recommend the light because it may show up at your door broken. But, I'm just one guy and there seems to be many reviews on here that prove me "more than wrong." Shame... I was really looking forward to it.

I'd always been reluctant to try one of these style of lights because of the cost, the wires and the external battery pack. But after moving to North Georgia, being seen by traffic both day and night is critical.So when I found this light at the sale price I decided to take a chance.Once it arrived (sooner than expected) I can say it's one of the best purchases I've ever made.I didn't weigh the light and battery but if they are more than a pound it isn't much more.The light is milled aluminum and looks great and is easy to put on and take off. The wiring is heavy gauge and seems firmly attached. The battery is slightly larger than a lipstick tube and is in a nylon web pouch. Along with the elastic Velcro strap, the case also has a belt loop and metal ring. The connection between the battery and light has a screw cap so it's very secure.Three beam settings, all of which are brighter than most cars low beams.The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because the beam is not as wide as I'd like but that might be fixed with a diffuser.Otherwise it's just about perfect. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Review from last year product works grea.t from The Item is exactly as advertised with fast shipping. I do worry about battery life. I rode my bike for about a half hour. I reconnected the charger to see how much battery was used. One of the 5 charge LED's was flashing overall performance was very good. The width of the beam of light is as wide as the street I was riding on (more that 30 ft) The med setting is more than enough light, The light on full power is as bright as a car headlight I am happy with the purchase. I would buy it again. I paid full price for this product.10/31/17 - I lost the charger cord . I called Amazon three times for assistance to get a new cord. I would give the CS agents a (-3) What a bunch of bs. I was able after my own research to send a letter to the Mfg using a link from an add selling the same product through Amazon but not Ugo seller of original product.

This light is very bright and amazingly compact, the light I used before this one left a lot to be desired, when trail riding in early A.M. or dusk situations, if a critter would scurry across the path I had to guess as to what it was, Rabbit, Dog, Chicken... lol, just playing but really it was difficult to see just exactly what was in front of me. Now with this new Ugoe Light, I'm scared for any creature that may be in the wrong place at the wrong time, I feel like if they cross in the beam of the light I'll singe the hair right off their back! Pro: Product is packaged perfectly. Charged perfectly. The design is robust. Handlebar elastomer is awesome.Pro: Light is awesomely bright. Great for early morning rides.Con: Light only stays on for 20 min, then shuts off (irrespective of mode). Not safe.Con: Return Policy is for 30 days. I've had the product for 60 days.Fact: The battery is fine. All green indicator lights are on. Not sure why light or cable is failing.Fact: This failure appears to be a rare occurrence given the other feedback on amazonUpdate:As a quick FIO, the switch for this light has a blue rubber cover. I did find that this rubber cover was a bit too thick and was 'always' pressing on the switch, making the light performance erratic. The light performs much better without the rubber back switch cover. It is more vulnerable to moisture,...but I will have to play that card.

This this is perfect, EXCEPT...The charger is a small proprietary cable with a small virtually weightless extra square thing. If they had just kept the square thing on their proprietary battery pack, then they could have designed this thing so that all you need to charge it is a standard USB cable. As it is, if you lose their charger thingy, you essentially can't use the thing.
