Daredevil by Chip Zdarsky Vol. 3: Through Hell

“Daredevil – Through Hell” collects issues #11-15 of this latest masterclass in comic-book writing.Stuff happens: we seem to be OK with Foggy once more – I thought they’d fallen out, but obviously I’ve forgotten whatever happened in the last volume; Elektra is back, and Wilson Fisk meets the people who really run America. That’s just the highlights – there’s more stuff with the gangsters, the cops, the criminals, and I’m sure there wasn’t enough space to fit everything in, and some of it had to be handles over the phone, but paced so well that you really didn’t realise that you had just read five comics.This is another superbly written and illustrated chapter in yet another superbly-written Daredevil series.As I keep saying in these reviews – Daredevil is one of the most ‘human’ of Marvel’s characters, and yet he’s been gifted with all the best writers for the ‘human’ stuff, while still holding his own in the action & adventure stakes.
