These things are an "auto include" if you are painting wargaming minis
These things are simple, cheap and work really really well. Even if you are a young with good eyesight (my nephew) Putting these on for painting makes it so much easier to paint and to paint perfectly, you can paint the EYES of your model. Because the glasses are out in front of your face, you only look through when you need to with a slight tilt of the head, otherwise you are looking around normally while wearing them. They have 5 different lenses for magnification , which are plastic by the way not glass, and they are all useful. I usually run with the lower magnifications, because just a 1.5x makes things 10x easier but When you are trying to nail something tiny you can swap to a higher one in seconds. Although having the high mag lenses forces you to be a very specific distance to the model or you lose focus so they aren't comfortable to use unless you need them, but the lower ones you can use all day. I've been using mine for a year and the only problem was the little rubber piece for the nose tore, but I was able to simply flip it around and I've been using it for another few months since without problem. The light on this thing is useless especially if you have a good magnifying lamp

good product for price and product support
My wife and I have purchased this item three times now. My wife does intricate cross stitch and embroidery projects and uses these magnifying glasses for the led light and exact lens for each job. She also likes the head band that keeps the glasses from sliding down her nose even when she is looking straight down.I work with electronics and small home handyman wiring and soldering projects that require precise close vision, and the multiple lenses help tremendously. These glasses are very versatile with multiple ways to adjust the position of the lenses relative to one's eyes. The frames are not particularly durable and will not survive harsh use, children, or pets in my opinion. Something bulky got dropped on my wife's project bag, and the result was that no amount of super glue was going to repair the magnifying glasses frame . On the other hand, replacing them was hardly more expensive than a tube of glue, soooo.... BTW, the Sanwotech customer service people are very nice and sent me a message after each of my purchases offering to assist if I have any problems with their product up to and including replacement. For our particular needs, this product serves us well at a reasonable price.

WORKS WELL BUT HEAVY ON NOSE
These glasses are easy to use and the built in light is a great feature for working in low to medium light environments, or when parts are in shadows. I always use the light. It has several positions to get light right where it's needed. There is more than adequate lens selection. Mostly I use the strongest magnification, and secondarily the medium. This is such a great tool that I use it frequently. However, that has led to a problem. The glasses are very heavy on the nose. They start to hurt after a few minutes. The nose piece is metal with no cushioning. For my work I typically have the glasses on for only a couple of minutes at a time, then take them off. Then put them on again, then take them off. Even used like this, they hurt my nose after a short while. Recently I taped some foam pads to the nose piece. That helps a little, but now the glasses tend to fall off. Next I'll try using the provided headband instead of the standard ear pieces. I hope this will work, and maybe I will be able to simply lift the glasses up to my forehead rather than take them off. Wish me luck. But even if that doesn't work out, I'll find a way. These glasses are just so good for working with tiny parts that I'll not give them up.P.S. I don't wear glasses or contacts. I have no idea how these glasses will work in combination. A friend who ordinarily wears glasses tried them and he experienced a very different focal length to the work than I do., but said they did focus and magnify well.

Just what I was looking for, with a couple of very minor exceptions - good value!
I needed something for painting miniatures, and debated between several different brands of magnifying glasses. Honestly, I thought I bought rechargeable ones, so I was disappointed at first, but put some batteries in and went to work. After having them on for an hour or two, with the standard "glasses" ear pieces, I did experience some discomfort. They are heavy, but not so much on your nose as your ears. Here's where the included strap comes in. Once I decided to use the strap, I no longer had the discomfort and the weight didn't seem so bad. Yes, you have to hold things somewhat close, but the key is trying several and finding the right lenses for you. The lenses flip up so you can look normally, and the glasses seem very durable so far. I've used them for probably 10-20 hours or so and I've not had to change batteries. Rechargeable batteries would be a good idea; there's no reason not to pick up a pair of these if magnifying glasses are what you're looking for. Good price, good product, no complaints here.
