When I first saw this on Amazon, my first thought was, "it's probably just one of those cheap costume capes you get from Halloween stores" until I read the reviews. Since I'm being Red Riding Hood, I decided to try it for myself and order one. It's good quality material, not the cheap kind that you find in many costume sets, and it's at a reasonable price. It's a lovely shade of red and goes all the way down to the floor and even drags a little, but I thought that added to the effect of the cape. If you're going to be outside having a Halloween party or trick-or-treating this will keep you warm. It would also be a nice cape for a Renaissance costume, a devil, vampire, etc. so it's a versatile cape. The hood is big, so it will bag around your face and shoulders, adding to the effect of the costume. If you have long hair like me, it is going to make your hair a bit static-y, but that is my only complaint. If you're looking for a nice Halloween cape that is good material and good quality and will be good for this year's costume and all the other years to come, this is for you.

This is a really nice cape. The fabric is so much better than I expected - it is a true red and of good quality. It flows gently behind you when you walk. I used it as part of a Little Red Riding Hood costume and it was really terrific and actually kept me a little bit warm. The cape is quite long but you just need to cut it to length with scissors...no hemming required and it does not fray when cut.

It's a nice material, it's a little on the thin side. It's not shiny which is nice! It is long so you could wear with heels, if you are a guy or tall. The tie strap is okay, mine had some strings coming out of it already. Overall, I think it will work great.

This cape/cloak was awesome! I went as Little Red Riding Hood, after the Big Bad Wolf got a hold of her! I didn't want to look like a little kid, (or a prostitute) so store-bought red riding hood costumes were out of the question. I wore black jeans, combat boots, and a black corset, and this cape over all of that. It was the PERFECT length for me, and I'm about 5'8". The hood was really big, which made me happy because I didn't want it to look like a sweatshirt hood. The ties in the front tied tightly so that it didn't feel heavy, and the material was pretty nice. It was a great bright red color too! Overall it was an awesome product for a great price. :)

I was putting together a "huntsman red riding hood" cosplay and I was between this cloak and another (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005HTQYIG/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2).Things I liked about the cloak: Lightweight and "flowed in the wind."Things I didn't like about the cloak: Super thin, unhemmed (the edges started to fray immediately), overall cheap quality.I decided the quality of this cloak did not match the quality of my other costume pieces; thus, I ended up going with the high quality (more expensive) cloak.tldr; If you have the money (and are planning on reusing the cloak) - invest in a nicer cloak!

I purchased this cape for a Red Riding Hood costume and it was amazing. The hood was large, the red was deep without being too burgundy and vibrant without being too loud. The length reached the floor and wide enough to wrap myself up in it like a large blanket. The fabric was soft and warm without being too heavy. I will admit that I was starting to get hot at a crowded Halloween party but was also very comfy sitting outside on an unseasonable warm Halloween handing out candy. Great cape if you are looking for something long and light without looking cheap.

I purchased this as an accessory to my red riding hood costume for Halloween. It worked perfectly!! Very high quality for the price I paid. I never had any issues with the string coming undone and it is truly the perfect length (I'm 5'8). I highly recommend this cape, can't beat this price for the quality!

I bought this for a Little Red Riding Hood costume for Halloween. I'm terribly short, so the cape was a bit long, but I kind of expected that. The cape was adorable with the costume. I wore a wig with it and had to pin the cape to the wig to keep it from slipping, but again, I sort of expected that I'd have to do that. GREAT cape at the right price!

This item looked good, but in truth there were rips in the hem and poor stitching in the hood to the tie.I would've returned it to be swapped for another. But, I really needed it for the time it arrived for Halloween when it arrived on the day I required it for a party.Furthermore, I paid for the item to be sent via first class and it arrived two days later than it originally said it would in the email. So therefore, I shall not bother paying extra for postage if it cannot be delivered on the time they say it would be.With all that said however, the colour is a very nice rouge red and is a decent length if you wanted to dress up as Red Riding Hood for instance. Just try not to get it dirty, as only being able to wash it in cold water is a nightmare.

Just a cheap stupid cape for the price. Its ok, but not worth how much you pay for it.

Does the job but the material is very thin and its clearly cheaply made - good length though and a lovely shade of red
