PERFECT WHEN USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH PART PRW217
THIS IS A HARD PLASTIC PATTRESS BOX DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY TO FIT THE PRW217 TERMINAL BLOCK AND COVER (SEPARATE PURCHASE). NB: IT IS NOT DESIGNED FOR ANY OTHER ELECTRICAL FITTING. With this combination you can connect two electric ovens from one supply. The pattress box is a large size when compared to a single standard box (see photo). It has offset fixing holes which may seem confusing at first since the cover (separate purchase PRW217) has the normal hole positions. Explanation to follow...... Mounting the box on a wall is straightforward with 4 knockout holes on the back of the box for the fixing screws (not provided). Also, there is a choice of knockout holes at the back or at the top for the incoming cable. There are no knockout holes required in the box for the two outgoing feeds to the ovens as they are provided in the separate cover. The terminal block (separate purchase PRW217) fits perfectly on top of the pattress box and is secured by screws into the offset holes previously mentioned. (see photo). Also, note that there is ample space for the cables that, in my case, had previously been squeezed into a standard single pattress. This is a tremendous advantage as the 6mm² cables (required for ovens) are particularly inflexible to manoeuvre. The cover (separate purchase PRW217) fits over the terminal block and is secured with two standard electrical setscrews. To finish the job, the electrician's label 'OVEN' was transferred to the new box (see photo). A very neat and tidy solution for supplying 2 ovens from one incoming supply. NB. A reminder that this is a specifically designed pattress box only and is NOT suitable for any other use. You will need to purchase the terminal and cover package PRW217 to achieve a proper installation.

Make sure you order the correct connection unit it’s not made for a normal double socket
Very useful for the fitting of connection unit on oven under the kitchen unit

Weird that it's not labelled by the brand name so you have to search for the front panel. But works great, fits perfectly and is immensely helpful
