it does fit in 94 gmc suburban sle k1500. it does its job so far. small yet mighty. good drop-in replacement. lot lighter and a bit easier to install. it sounds louder than an heat soaked failing starter it seems to be good and compatible yet asolid looking starter.

So far so good put it on today and starts like a new car now. Was smaller than replaced starter had to put some washers on bolts but no problems yet. Took me about an hour to replace

Damaged my SBC starter and ordered one from Napa. It didn't fit. Decided to try this one...fits. but about 2/3 the size of the old one...can hear the difference on starting, but it got the job done. Truck been OOC for 2 months. Concerned about durability, but worry about it more when and if it breaks? Also had to purchased shorter mounting hardware

This thing doesn’t look like it’s gonna work because it’s so different from the old starter, the gear doesn’t even look the same but the holes line up (Bolts are not included, and factory bolts are about half an inch too long, I solved this with a 1/2in nut on each one as a spacer allowing me to keep my factory bolts) easy install, cranks right up with no shimming. P.S. if it still ain’t cranking, check your battery, ask me how i know

More Amazon Junk. If you live in a cold climate don't buy. Started fine in shop,, Back outside got down to 20 degrees no start. Push back in heated shop for few hours works fine. Back outside over night back to no starting.

I bought this starter from Amazon and much to my surprise, it arrived 2 days later. I purchased this item to be used on my 1999 GMC Safari with a 2003 Astro Van engine in it. I just did the engine swap myself. The engines were identical 4.3L GM V6 engines and this starter would fit either model, either year. Anyhow, this starter turned out to be better than the OEM one. It has a slightly bigger motor, a dedicated grounding bolt to ensure a good ground wire if you want and the one I got was chrome. I'm a professional mechanic and I highly recommend this item. The van I used it on was AWD with a front differential, this starter fits even though it's got a slightly larger motor for more cranking power.
